Habs in a funk. Blew two leads and the eventual GWG was scored with less than 3 mins left- on the PP. Thanks to a double minor from our newly appointed captain, Rozsival.

3 Stars

1 - Brent Burns (MTL)
2 - Matt Calvert (PHO)
3 - Joe Pavelski (MTL)

Nice to get Rask into the win column. Galchenyuk and Mackinnon led the way and Haula picked up a shortie in the win. We now sit 2 points out of the playoffs and can hopefully climb our way back in the mix shortly.

Second straight game where we dominate on shots, yet lose in the shoot out.
We blew a 3-1 lead going into the 3rd, and allowed the Stars to score twice on only 6 shots in the final period, including the tie goal with just 32 seconds left in the game.

Lots of positives to keep moving forward with though:
Faceoff wins bounced back up.
PK was solid, going 7 for 7, including a 1:41 2 man advantage.
Voraceks and Sheahan were unnoticeable in their return to Washington
Carter and Stastny (3 game scoring streak), however, both score against their former club.

It's still early, but after having the 2nd worst record last year, it's nice to see the team fighting for a playoff spot, and we're hoping to move up the ranks during the remainder of this 5 game home stretch.

Tight game against the Panthers. Price was solid and Monahan steps up with the GWG with less then a minute to play in the 3rd.
