piranhas wouldn't work unless they got through the skull and ate the brain.

Interesting question actually. If you skeletonize a bunch of zombies but leave the brain intact, do you end up with a skeleton army?
What about if you gouge their eyes out too? Blind skeleton army?

Weren't some of the zombies in that storm drain system basically just skeletons? Not sure how their brains stayed intact despite the rest of them rotting away, but that is when the suspension of disbelief is needed most.

If a corpse could still be animated without any connective tissue, then I think we would have to conclude that the cause of the affliction is supernatural and piercing the brain is more a matter of releasing the supernatural force rather than causing physical damage.

Why is no one discussing tonight's episode yet? Odd.
Too stunned that we heard Glenn's voice?

Sure sounded like Glenn.
Interesting that we appear to find a new group, that doesn't appear to be the Wolves but another community nearby.
I am guessing that since we didn't see their leader's face, he will play a big role down the line.

Regarding setting the pit zombies on fire - I would think a massive fireball like that draw a lot more zombies into the Alexandria area. Seems like a much worse plan.
Also regarding Tina - how do you survive this long into the zombie apocalypse (with diabetes no less) and not learn to go near relatively intact corpses without a quick stab to the brain??

I thought the voice at the end was Rick, when he was trapped in the RV. They still haven't shown how he got out of that and back to Alexandria, unless I missed something. The timeline for this season is kinda messed, I think this season would be way better if you binge watch it.

Was that the leader though? He referenced somebody else when he was chopping off that guys arm, said something like "we don't need to go to deep" and "he only wants ass that is willing" or something along those lines. The girl kept talking about taking what they had earned, the whole thing reminded me of Fury Road.
Again, not to try and nit pick here but this seems like a pretty big detail. If you were to chop off someones arm would you not need to seal the wound with fire immediately to avoid any type of infection or bleeding out? Could a belt on the bicep REALLY save him?
Poor Daryl, lost his bike and his crossbow and his dignity in 60 seconds or less. Will be interesting to see how the Wolves and this group and Alexandria all come into play, maybe they ally with these guys to hunt the Wolves down? Or maybe the Wolves are a pocket group of this bigger group? Their scavengers? I really liked the pace of that episode and how they left us wanting more, not disappointed with progress (even though they all literally went in one big circle).
And that definitely sounded like Glenn.

If it was Rick and they helped him escape from the RV- they would be with him when he came running back. And if something happened that they got Rick out and were in trouble themselves, Rick would have been rounding people up to go help.
Unless they are dead- which would cause a riot if you kill Darryl.

I thought that was Rick on the radio...
The Tina thing was wierd, the 3 seamed so close, then after she was gone it was like she had never existed.

It was and it wasn't. I think you learn to move on from death pretty quickly in this world. They were lucky enough to have time to bury her really.

Might have still be in shock, or she was numb from having lost so many she cared about already. It looks like this group they were running from was fairly organized but something chaotic about it drove them away. So she has probably been through so much already. We see the same thing with Rick's group, there is initial grief but you have to keep moving forward.

Remember at the start of the episode they had reached the 20 mile mark for marching the hoard away from Alexandria. Assuming the other group didn't tail them back to Alexandria, they could possibly never see them again (although, that's unlikely).
In a car doing highway speed, 20 miles would take less than 20 minutes, but at normal walking speed (3 mph), it would take almost 7 hours. If the other group makes an effort to find Alexandria, it will probably still take them some time.
One thing that wasn't clear was if the group that attacked them at the beginning of the episode was the same group that was going after the dumbasses Daryl encountered.

It sounded like they had been living somewhere that was relatively well-protected, so they probably didn't have a lot of experience dealing with active walkers up-close. Look at how useless all the Alexandrians are.
For me, the bigger question is whether or not insulin would even be good at this point. Arguably, if they found a hospital or pharmacy, they'd be able to get enough insulin to last one person a long time (if the pharmacy had enough stock for 24 people for a month, that would be enough for one person for 2 years). From a quick Google search, it seems that insulin is good for about a year if stored properly and unopened. Based on Judith's age, we have to be at least 18 months since the zombie outbreak. Even if they had a great stash of insulin, she likely would have been quickly out of luck had she survived.

My guess is that The Wolves and the group from last night are completely different. The Wolves seem like a disorganized group that just attacks at random and has no real control or structure. The group from last night seemed pretty organized and obviously has a central base they operate from.
My guess is that the next two episodes will deal with the horde outside the wall of Alexandria and give us a definitive answer about Glenn. Then, when the show returns in the New Year, they'll take on the Wolves. Once the Wolves are taken care of, they'll think they can relax in their new suburban life, and that's when the group from this week shows up, and the Wolves look like child's play.
