Oh well. I've entered the stage where I'm not upset by losses but just want some entertaining hockey and eventually some moves that help the team moving forward.

Please bench Backlund and call up somebody... anybody...
Time to start rotating some guys in from Stockton to light some fires and make guys start earning it.
Get Nakladal, Kylington and Kulak some games and start benching Wideman..

You're like the Grampa Simpson of recommendations tonight.

That was an incredibly hard game to watch. The Flames barely looked AHL calibre for most of the night. Couldn't pass, or control the puck at all. incredible amount of turnovers. At least we had some good chances, but alas there is 0 finish. that's nice. This team has been a comedy of errors and it has been nonstop this season.
Another problem is that most of the leaders look horrible. Wideman, Giordano, Russell, Hudler. Terrible play. The system also has some serious problems, and I'm not sure what they're doing to try and fix it. We should not be one of the worst teams in the league defensively. it's shocking.
Treliving needs to purge some of the garbage off the team.

1-3 on a tough road trip. Team needs to be better in every single department, D, scoring, goaltending. All of it.
Usually you know what you got by game #20. Friday is that day. Doesn't look too promising.
As a fan I'd like to see the GM start rotating players off the roster. Isn't going to happen but it's what I'd like to see.

I felt that Ramo did a good job, but was let down by your low slot coverage on Kane's and Panarin's goals...Offensively, the Flames made some grade A opportunities, but, failed on finishing...

I'm done with this passive defense bull####. Our defensive system seems to be 4 guys standing in lanes and 1 guy chasing the puck, only to fire it up the boards if he gets it. I'm not sure they know that if you want to play a transition game you have to force turnovers!! FORCE. TURNOVERS. You can't just wait for the other team to make a mistake, I can't believe anyone finds this acceptable.

so flames had offensive chances, couldn't bury them.
got goaltending good enough to keep them in it.
engelland crappy pass, backlund crappy play, goal against. Hamilton dumb play to the point, goal against.
Our defense sucks. Like they are terrible. Giordano, wideman should be embarrassed.
I also thought gaudreau was pretty bad. no idea what hudler has brought to this team this year. the most effort i saw from him was swatting the puck back into the flames net after the EN goal, well done bud.
There is no way this team can compete for anything worth watching this year.

I think we watched different games. It if the 25 or so turnovers, only 3 went in on many dangerous chances

Gio is hurt, he must be. To go from one of the best in the league to worthy of being benched.... something's up. Players don't go from elite to amateur that quick, last year he was active and mobile. This year well, he's the exact opposite. He should be sitting, we should be playing more young guys and for ffs no more Wideman for a while.
Wideman was beneficial when he was putting up points but when his offense dies and he's a turnover machine our 19 year old farm kids will do better.

Meh, it's taken this long to get to what you saw tonight. It's not really working or correcting itself in time to save playoff hopes.
Anything can happen but it's not rounding out to look like it will be anything otherwise.

Meh. The Flames did look bad for stretches but I thought it was more Hawks making us look bad then Flames making them look good. Granted I did miss the first half of the second (when all the scoring happened)
Ramo looked good.

A lack of puck luck in the 3rd period hurt the Flames. Dispite the score I believe the Flames were close in actual scoring chnaces.
Not happy with all the defensive turnovers at this point in the season. Too many mental errors from our defence.
Panarin looks to have the inside track for the Calder trophy. Kid has a boat load of talent and hockey sense.

If Gio is hurt why play him? We are not in the playoff FFS...that is an excuse or pure speculation. Time to bring up sone new blood from the farm to ignite the D core
