Took the words out of my mouth. They seem substantially slower than last season.

My biggest concern this year has been gio. Last year I feel like he led the way and our defence was a strength of the team.
I feel like he's leading the way again this year... But not where we want to go.
Very concerned about that contract extension.

Watching the Flames pass the puck around and try to handle it is hilarious when compared to the Hawks. what a joke.

Wideman is seeming to alternate good play/bad play

I get that there is supposed to be a winger there, but would it kill Wideman to glance up and check if someone is before he shouts it up the boards.... gawd, this just drives me up the wall I cringe every time I see it lately! LOL!

In game-related news, 5v5 score-adjusted SAT, we're being doubled by the Blackhawks. Aren't going to win a lot when that's happening.

That's just the Flames system being exposed.

There are positives. Not on the scoreboard though.

Let's say you beat the Panthers in a 2-1 game with no major incidents to note on the road. Not an emotional win.
Let's say there are playoff implications, it's a Canadian rival, and you battle to win after your best player and/or goalie goes down with injury and the team rallies. Emotional win.

I wish the Flames could switch to basketball for a sec and nail a 3 pointer to take the lead and then go back to hockey.

If I remember correctly, I believe Treliving wanted to tone down training camp and not have it balls out from the get go. I'm with you, the team has seemed off since training camp/exhibition games

I'm not sure our strategy of getting dominated in shots on a regular basis is working. Then again I'm not an NHL coach so I would know for sure.
