Yeah, but he wasn't a Hawks first round pick who bolted to New York at first chance. That's what he did to us yet so few of us recognized him. (That would be Kevin Hayes in Chicago's case)

Kevin Hayes has been decent in NYC. Erixon has been forgettable every step of way.

K. Hayes never really caught Chicago fans' imaginations, and never really seemed all that close to being signed by the team...He never seemed to project as more than a bottom 6 guy on our roster...NY can keep him.

Let's just win Please. Johnny and Sam show tonight. Wideman we pray ends up with the last minute flu and smid plays in his spot. We can dream right ?

Should be a fun game to watch tonight. Panarin and Kane are an absolute treat to watch together. I have only seen maybe 5 or 6 periods of the Blackhawks thus far, but Panarin is definitely an exciting and spectacular player to watch.
Unfortunately, the Flames do not have an answer to Chicago's super-goon - Jonathan "TKO" Toews. 2 fights recently? Even tougher than I thought he was.
I am glad the days of the Hawks having an easy win against the Flames are over. Flames may or may not win tonight, but they sure have been doing much better against Chicago than after that 6-5 embarrassing loss against them all those years ago, followed by a few years of consistent losing to them. Hopefully Gaudreau lights them up and out-shines Kane/Panarin tonight.

Yeah that Panarin is a real nice gem for the hawks. Wished we got him but we got Johnny whose pretty lights out too. Should be an electrifying game and fun to watch.

#19 dropping the gloves is not what us 'Hawk fans really want to see much...Vs. Henrique, it was a clear "fire up the flat team" embarrassment thing...with Backes, who has a history of trading cheap shots, it was after Backes clearly boarded Hjalmarsson...but, the bad blood with Backes has been long standing.

I really wish Hartley would accept Hudler isn't playing the same game this season and get him off the top line. His loyalty to some of these players is really hurting the team. Now that Monahan is going he's the only pylon on that line. Not playing that surprising physical game he brought last year. Just floating around and passing at every chance just to avoid contact.
I'd like to see Jones get a chance due to his good play with limited minutes. He can actually drive to the net and has shown some finishing ability this season. And he seems to actually care that this is a contract season unlike Hudler.

Beginning in Florida I bought NHL 16 and each time I'd play someone who was playing the team we were about to play. The scores turned out the exact same as my game (sorry). I'm finally getting the hang of it though, I beat the Blackhawks 4-2.
Bennett scored twice, from Brodie then from Backlund.
Then Frolik scored, then Monahan with an empty netter from Gaudreau.
Make it happen hockey gods.

So your saying Chicago couldn't use a 6'5 230lb RW? In case you haven't noticed father time has caught up to Hossa and it won't be long before he's a 4th line fodder.
Kevin Hayes is a beast and would be 3rd in forward scoring on the hawks.

I don't see the same thing thing others are seeing in Hudler. I'm not seeing any lazy play from him. If you really watch him he is playing a style right now yhat is not his strength. You watch him and he is the one on that line thats trying to be physical. He is the one going along the boards and corners battling . He is the guy throwing his weight around. Hudler is the one on that line picking up the lack of physical play of the young guys. Thats not his game but some one has to do it .
I agree Jones should get a shot on that line due to his style of game. Let him be the guy banging around.

I think tonight is one of those nights where we blowout a team. 7-1 Flames.

Chicago played a hard game last night against a Blues team that pounded the D hard on the boards. Flames last good and that's not an unreasonable result (though 7-1 is unreasonable)

I saw that last year from Hudler. I'm not seeing it this year. You can look at the points he has this year and in 80% of them he's not much of a factor in the goal. He doesn't seem to want the puck and isn't finding much open ice.
The other thing I've been noticing in general this year is that players aren't utilizing the defensemen at the point. We have Brodie, Gio, Wideman and Hamilton who are great at walking the line and getting shots through. This year the forwards seem to just try and keep the cycle going deep because they are afraid of the puck going the other way. Hopefully with more confidence in Ramo we'll start to see more point shots which will surely lead to more consistent scoring.

With Hayes, we had the baggage of his brother, who was thoroughly unimpressive, and, apparently, had some bad feelings on how he was handled...K. Hayes was unlikely to sign with the 'Hawks, after that.
BTW...keep your eye on Hossa's effort tonight...it is more poor puck-luck, than poor play, that has held him back...although, I can see him being a 3rd liner next season or so...
