[QUOTE=JohnnyB;5504945]I feel like starting the year with three goalies was largely the source of the bad start for the team. Since the team has been down to two goalies Ramo has been able to settle in and start putting better games together./QUOTE]

It looks more like Rämö is the #1 for now, with Ortio being the backup. Which I agree with, because playing behind our defense right now could destroy a rookies confidence.

Rämö's improved play seems to imply that there's some wisdom in the tradition of picking a #1 and sticking with it.

Especially in a situation like ours, I can imagine it helps the goalies focus on just stopping those pucks regardless of the clusterf*** around them.

This is how we roll. I fully expect a win in Chicago too.

Btw, Frolik is on pace for a 50+ point season, which would be his career first. Has been among the most consistent players on the team I'd say. Seems like a good UFA signing at this point.

Also, Brodie for Hart.

Ramo earned that win. Saved the game for the Flames on what appeared to be several times it seemed the Caps were going to score.

I was ok with that Bollig penalty tonight. Stuck up for Grant and teed off on Wilson's nose. Wasnt great timing being up 2-0 late but Wilson probably should have gotten the offsetting roughing on Grant

2 very nice games fromRamo in a row. I thought the Flames played great tonight. Bennett continues to impress, and Monahan was clutch. Great game from Hamilton as well

Yes! We won't have to see reminders 5, 10 years later about the time Ovechkin became the all time highest scoring Russian against the Flames!

Ramo played well and kept the Flames in this.

Breakdown by period:

2nd - WAS 20, CGY 25
3rd - WAS 32, CGY 8
OT - WAS 3, CGY 2

Clearly Calgary got completely dominated in the third. At the 8 minute mark or so in the third, the two teams were tied at 51. Wow

Thats a downright brutal period. Its almost like they have no idea how to play with a lead sometimes. They're like "holy #### we have a lead, what do we do?" - keep scoring goals dummies!!!

Because Twitter has become something that it really isn't: namely a forum where people pretend to have discussions and where politicians make-believe that they are making profound or important statements.

Twitter is a phenomenal resource for disseminating information very quickly. It is a great way to gather headlines and brief situational updates.

The problem is that people pretend like Twitter is something else. The moment news organizations started reporting the tweets of politicians and celebrities as though they are somehow useful or purposeful was the day Twitter became something worth disparaging. It has grown worse as activists from all sides of every issue have taken to twitter as a forum for debate and discussion.

There is no issue which can be productively or informatively discussed in 140-character snippets of thought, and the fact that people make the attempt to do so on Twitter is, frankly, deplorable.

Using Twitter as anything other than a news-gathering and news-disseminating tool is to utterly misunderstand what the technology is useful for and expose oneself and the technology itself to ridicule.
