Coffee, good pick! Nagy is a steal. I was not even thinking about him.
I now have Richards, Naslund, Savard, and Hejduk.
I did not think that Hejduk would have stuck around for this long. I am happy with that pick. Both him and Naslund had off years and I am hoping that they rebound. However that would be very bad for the Flames.

Nagy and Hejduk were my next two picks. I was hoping everyone would be too scared from the injuries.

Alright guys, I'm off to Nuck land.....I told TOTF to text me whenever it's my pick and I will make it to a computer ASAP! Don't kill me though if it takes a few minutes.

Pitkanen would never have reached you my friend. He was my next pick.

you might be on to something here. maybe we could all give our cell #'s to a couple responsible CPers and they could fire out text messages to whoever is up in the draft. that would really speed up the process, but is it feasable?

Those are the choices you'll have to weigh.......same for goalies. It's totally up to you what kind of gameplan you're going with.

I sorta get that logic, however I cant leave (say a)Peter Forsberg on the table(75 points in 60 games) to take a Zubov(71 points in 78 games) just so I now have a superior defenceman that no one else can claim.
Forsberg(I thought)although a little risky was the best player still available by a bit and I knew he wouldnt be around for my next pick. I had to take him, then live with a worse defense.
My offense is now much better to make up for my lesser defense.
I think I got the steal of the draft!

You and I seem to be after the same guys often... I guess we'll just have to take turns stealing each other's players.

It seems like this round, everyone's done a really good job at cleaning up all the juicy left-overs from the previous three.

Slowing down again. 17 picks yesterday. If we could do 2 rounds a day would be awesome. Keep it going...

Slow start today. Again I'll ask that if you aren't going to be around and your pick is coming up have the decency to PM a short list of players that you want.

^ Yeah its getting a bit frustrating again. I guess I should have noted back in the original post that the draft would require you checking in about 5-6 times a day.
We still have 14 rounds to go and I still have to enter all the names into Yahoo. For those of you that don't please check in more times a day until the draft is over.

Agreed. Please check in more often!
I checked in late last night in London to make my pick, so that ppl in Calgary would not be waiting for me through an entire evening.
If this can't work, can we try some sort of 'relegation' round, where if one doesn't make their pick within 12-16 hours of the previous pick, they forfeit that pick until the end of the draft?

In my opinion we'd be doing OK if people could check in a minimum of 3 times a night. Morning, Afternoon sometime, Evening, and ideally once more before they hit the hay....but at least the 3 times.
Is there anyone that can't do that because of access problems or what not? Let's figure out here who can't do that.

OK, starting in round 5.
You have 6 hours to make your pick not including 12AM-8AM MST.
If you don't make the pick your pick gets tossed to the end of the draft where you where you will get the wonderful choice of chosing between Rico Fata or Georges Laraque....JK!
But yeah......I hope this is fair for all, and it gets the draft moving.

I thought we were taking 14 players all together (8 + 4 + 2) so we only have 10 rounds left. or did I miss something?

I agree with the time limit. Let's get this thing moving along.
Regarding Cole, everything I've read indicates he's completely recovered from his broken neck. He'd better be or I'll trade him straight across for Stillman.
