Flames 1st line and 1st D pairing on that caps goal. Have to be able to keep it out in that situation.

There's some puck luck for the Flames. Brodie stickless and Ovie whiffs twice.

again you guys blame the d?!!?.. ya, brodie left that man in front. He and Go had 3 men down low to cover. Mony and Gaudreau both go chase the puck carrier and no one says anything to that?!

...maddening, no?

Yeah that's on Gio, beagle was his man that Brodie was covering while Gio pushed up but Willaims is Brodie's responsibility hence him moving over

He was, as others have been pointing out repeatedly, covering the guy that was winding up for the one-timer into the wide open net.
Gio's guy through and through.

It's actually the strategy too - Hamilton confirmed it in one of his interviews this year. He was asked about differences between Boston and Calgary, and he flat out said what the D is supposed to do in Calgary...which is to step in front of the man to block the shot or intercept the pass.
Gio's positioning was not his failure, it's the system's fault.

The obvious solution to your forwards cheating is to leave 2 guys open in blue paint, gg

This team is infuriating. They're playing really well, on their way to victory with Ramo giving them a solid game, and yet they still find a way to crap the bed. Unbelievable.
