It's my birthday so the Flames better allow 3 goals but score 4.

I keep saying they're not this bad. They might be.
Imagine you're a kid. Your mom is single, and she has three on and off boyfriends. All are good guys. They might not have the best careers or be the brightest, but they all try, and their hearts are in the right place.
You're still a kid watching a rotation of three males wander through your home at irregular intervals. How are you supposed to feel? Excited that you have two or three dads, or freaked out because you don't know who to believe in or what's real. The more time passes, the more you understand that your mom can do better than all three, and needs to get on with her life.
It's not the goalies' fault. This situation looms toxic over the whole team, and things will not get better until there is a concrete resolution in the crease.

I Google'd "Longest non-shutout streak in NHL" just for fun. Looks like we've already got that one all locked up.
Quote:
Longest non-shutout streak: 264 games (Calgary Flames, Nov. 12, 1981-Jan. 9, 1985)
The Calgary Flames heard plenty of boos from the fans at the Stampede Corral when they were embarrassed 7-0 by the visiting Blues on Nov. 10, 1981. Little did they know that their team would go more than three full seasons without seeing a "0" at the end of the game.
Two nights after the embarrassing loss to the Blues, Calgary began the longest consecutive-game scoring streak in NHL history by edging the Quebec Nordiques 3-2. Win or lose, the Flames kept scoring until Jan. 11, 1985, when the Nordiques blanked them 4-0 at the Colisee in Quebec.
The Los Angeles Kings came close to matching the Flames' mark, having scored in 261 consecutive games before Calgary preserved its line in the NHL record book with a 5-0 win at L.A. on Oct. 25, 1989. In contrast, no team has gone as much as one full season without being shut out since the 2006-07 Buffalo Sabres scored in all 82 games.

Sigh.

I'm okay with that. Let Ramo build some confidence after a solid game. Maybe he keeps us in this one.

Ramo played well yesterday. If he's not tired I see no reason to put him and hope he keeps it up. Wideman still drawing in is baffling. Seems like every goal against is from a soft turnover off his stick.

What on earth does Wideman have to do to sit for a game in the pressbox, score a few own goals?
Ahhh, forget I asked.

Is someone able to find what team Ovi is most prolific against? That would be interesting indeed.
EDIT: Found it on Yahoo Sports. I haven't dissected the data yet... but Ovi is pretty darn prolific against, well, everybody.

Hartley needs to learn how to love himself before he can love his hockey team.

SWEET MERCIFU---
What on Earth is Hartley doing?!
Bollig? Have we really missed Bollig? NO. Keep him off the damn ice.
Smid is the guy who sits? One of the best D-men all game while Wideman COSTS us the game and Smid sits? Get your head out of your ass Hartley. This is getting ridiculous.
Smid and Jooris sitting. Just unreal.

I wish someone in the media had the balls to ask how he keeps getting playing time. They call Canada a pressure cooker for hockey players but the media throws such softball BS questions at them that the notion of anyone being "chased out of town" baffles me.
If this was Manchester and Wideman played for United then a) His play would be front page news and b) he would probably be dead by now.
Hartley needs to go.
