One of Canada’s most infamous serial killers and rapists has published a 631 page e-book on Amazon, which includes violent, gory descriptions of death and terrorist plots.
Paul Bernardo’s lawyer Tony Bryant confirmed to Global News Thursday that his client released the political spy thriller titled A MAD World Order on the popular e-commerce website on June 25.
“I am advised that Mr. Bernardo has written a book,” said Tony Bryant in an email to Global News.

F that S indeed. Unfortunately it will likely do quite well. People have an odd fascination with the mind of serial killers.

Personally, I hope it flops. That being said, Bernado's chances of ever seeing the light of day are slim to none. At the very least, he personally will not be able to enjoy the money.

I believe he would get them, he just wouldn't be able to do a whole lot with the money as he'll likely serve out his life in prison.

I'd never support him directly, but I am one that has been fascinated by serial killers and people who commit horrible acts. Thankfully I can read books written by those who study such people, not the #######s themselves.

I thought criminals werent allowed to profit from their crimes? If anything the revenue should go into subsidizing his state-sponsored room and board.

Lots of ways to spend the proceeds, victims families, scholarships in victims names etc.

I would hope that Amazon is shamed into removing this from their website. He should not be talked about or his existence even acknowledged.
I'm sure the families of his victims never need to hear or see his name again in their lifetimes.

Sounds like it's a fictional book though. I would imagine some of the "inspiration" for it is real, but if it's a political spy thriller, that's probably the loophole.

I just hate the thought of this guy getting an ego boost from this. I'm surprised that inmates are even allowed to publish literature. It doesn't sound like something that should be a privilege they are allowed.

Even if he does profit, he can't freely spend money in jail.

Bernardo is not getting out of jail anytime soon. Any money he earns could be held in trust. It'd be nice to see him spend it on a charity of some kind, but he'd probably find some groupie to give it to.

If he were to marry, would his new wife be allowed to have the profits? He is apparently engaged right now.

I can't see how they would stop that. He could put the rights to the book in her name or even list her as the author...I have no expertise on this kind of stuff though, there could be a specific piece of legislation stopping it.

Hopefully it was public pressure that caused them to pull the boat.

I'm sure I'm very much in the minority here, but I don't like the banning of any book, regardless of the author. You can buy Mein Kampf on Amazon, why not this?
