If Gio would instead of snap passing puck into re-direction lanes ALL the time and puck the puck on the net, things would open up for him. It's easy to play Gio's shot choices right now. It's half the problem.

I love Backlund's weak-ass play along the boards right after Wideman goes full Spartan. Way to step up. Can't even make a simple clearing play while Wideman is skating around on one foot staying in position.
