Default If Harper won the 2004 election would we have been bombed?

Considering what happened in London and our notoriously bad security, would Al -Queda have attacked Canada if we supported the US in the Iraq invasion?

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure Harper and the Conservatives supported the Bush invasion.

I kinda figure that regardless of our support or lack thereof, al queda is going to hit canada at some point.
They seem to hate western liberalism and our secular ways as much as they hate the us for meddling and 'policing'.

IMO

Better get out the editing iron before I get flamed... To be clear, I mean that western culture grinds their gears. Not so much Canada, as all nations that have made the move (successfully or not) toward the separation of church and state.

There wasn't a 2002 election. There was a 2000 election. The CPC didn't exist then; Stockwell Day was leader of the Alliance at the time.

Harper wasn't in politics in 2002 as far as I can recall?

Harper was MP for Calgary West (yes, the same Calgary West as Anders now) for '93-'97 (for Reform)

He was then out of Politics until he became leader of the Alliance in '02. He took his place in parliament in May '02 (representing Calgary Southwest, which was just given up by Preston Manning)
