That's still one of my favourite trade threads with people complaining that they saw the thread title and thought the Flames had somehow acquired both Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook in a blockbuster.

So the Flames have 5 AHL/NHL goalies?
What happens when Hiller returns? Is Gillies bound for the ECHL?
My hope is this is part of a bigger trade but who knows?

I would imagine Poulin or Simpson are the odd men out there. Traded, waived, press box, whatever. They won't stunt Gillies' development for Simpson or Poulin.

Hiller hasn't even skated, according to Wills yesterday. So with Gillies out, they needed a body.
