Yes, and the actual Alexandria, Virginia doesn't have any communities like that, and is completely surrounded by other suburbs of DC.

Fair enough.
Just looked on a map. It's weird they wouldn't choose one of the more outlying sub-burbs. Guess they just liked the name?

I wasn't a big fan of last Sudays episode. It was such a step down in terms of story and especially the acting. This was really filler material for all I could see, and I really had a hard time staying interested while watching it.

The purpose really seemed to be to introduce some of the new Alexandria people into the main story line. They also need to show which one are adapting to the harsh life of reality.
Sniper guy, angry mom, and medic will all be bigger roles obviously...the fact I can't remember their names shows how interested I am so far in those characters.

This all seems like Woodsbury again with the sheltered citizens, minus the psychopathic leader and the zombie fights.
Hopefully next episode goes back to the wolves and figuring that out.

They lost me a bit on the "Zombie Parade". Marching Zombies 20 miles away is the plan to save Alexandria Rick? Really?
Why couldn't they chuck a bunch of diesel, gasoline etc into the pit and let the zombies burn? They are attracted to Fire right?

Ya, as soon as I saw thew zombie pit, I was thinking BURN IT BURN IT BURN IT WITH FIRE! Then I thought they were marching the zombies to the wolves camp to take them out, which would have been awesome to watch. But no. It was The Long March.

Stupid Facebook led me to a story that revealed a story development this season and a comic book spoiler as well. If you see an article announcing a new upcoming cast member, I suggest not reading it.

If anyone wants to know who the upcoming cast member is, without any spoilers or details, it's

The problem with burning them is that it doesn't stop them until the fire has destroyed their brain, so now they're not just a relentless army of the undead who can kill you with one bite, but now they're on fire. Also, it would require a large amount of gasoline, which is a finite commodity in that world.

Wouldn't the bodies be their own source of fuel? I'm thinking of lobbing a few Molotov cocktails in and letting the fire take its course.
If Morgan could burn all those bodies with just a bit of fuel- they should burn on their own.

You don't have to necessary kill the zombies, just destroy their mobility. If you burnt off the tissues around the their legs, they would mechanically lose the ability to walk, thus making no longer "walkers".
Similarly, I building some kind of catapult and launching big rocks into the crowd would have done a lot of damage too. Breaking leg or spinal bones would have a similar effect on mobility.
It also wouldn't have taken that much gasoline to do some serious damage to that group. Spending a couple hundred litres of gasoline vs. the risk of them getting out and you losing everything, seems like a solid expense. You could gather that from 4-5 abandoned cars.
This would make for less engaging television though. The show is really just about creating a series of impossible scenarios and seeing how people react.

Alexandria should have invested in this idea.

Well, as you can see, when the burglar trips the alarm, the house raises from its foundations and runs down the street, around the corner to safety. . . . Well, the real humans won’t, uh, won’t burn quite so fast in there.

I never understood why the survivors don't move to a colder climate, wouldn't the walkers just freeze and become essentially walker free for 5/6 months of the year.

I'm more curious how a small island could work. Seems like they would float and wash ashore? But those mushy walkers are easy to deal with, they would even disintegrate in the ocean currents and waves?

If there were really a zombie apocalypse, I'd fool everyone and go to edmonton. Even the zombies would be like "nah, it's not worth it"

Has anyone been keeping up with the Fear TWD mini-series that takes place with that teenage kid on a plane? It's been in the commercials during TWD, showing little bits at a time. Is it online only & worth getting into?

No- they are showing you each episode in it's entirety during those commercials. That's right- every week you get another 40-50 seconds of content.
