This would also be an ideal time for ESPN to fire Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith, both of whom defended Hardy and both of whom have tweeted today about the Cowboys game Sunday but, you know, haven't mentioned a thing about Hardy, just trolling like they usually do.

If they didn't fire Smith for saying that Ray Rice's wife had it coming, they're certainly not going to do it over this. Funny enough I tweeted something about Stephen A. the last time he embarrassed himself on DV and got a DM from Michelle Beadle basically saying she keeps as far away as possible from those clowns.

I'd let Godell a little off the hook here, as his 10 game suspension was appealed and basically overturned by the NFLPA, reduced to 4.
Not sure how seeing the actual pictures makes things any different as far as perception in the case, as it sounded from the outset as bad (and him being a whack job during and after the suspension all but confirmed it), but here we are.

I mean I guess I'm saying even 10 games isn't enough here. He outta be in prison but he allegedly gave her an 8 figure payoff. He should be banned for life really.
But when your owner supports you unwaveringly, you must feel pretty invincible.

Yeah, well Jerry Jones being human garbage isn't anything new, either.

But Greg Hardy is still allowed in the league. Right. Cowboys might cut him if the pressure reaches unbearable levels, but probably not. He can rush the passer at a high level, and isn't currently in jail. That's all that matters. NFL really is a pretty disgusting league deep down.
|
When it comes to suspensions, I can give the NFL some slack because the PA pushes back and you're never gonna be able to ban someone for a lengthy period of time unless they straight up kill someone.
But fining a player for a good cause? With all the heat the NFL has taken on this subject, WTF are they thinking? How can they not use common sense, and just let the man make a good gesture. They should be using this as positive news to work with, not discourage it. Somethings should be left up to discretion and consent.

The NFL needs a policy where players who have been suspended for domestic violence have to pay the uniform fines for those who violate the uniform policy that season. If 600 guys a week are making Greg Hardy pay a $7000 fine, he's probably not playing football.
Garbage like him can play in some no name league for 50 grand a year and lament what could have been so the next time he acts out he faces proper justice.

Brees starting where he left off last week, 2 long TD passes in the 1st Q (granted it's against TEN, though they're statistically the #2 pass D). Safe to say the Brees is done talk around the league was overblown..

Titans just scored one of the weirder long bomb TDs you'll see...Mariota throws a duck, Keenan Lewis and Jairus Byrd both go for the easy pick. They end up running into each other, causing it to pop up into the air. Delaney Walker has it fall into his hands, runs it another 40 yards for the TD. I haven't seen many like that before.
Games like this make me nervous. Titans get the TD which should've been an easy pick, and an FG after the Saints fumbled on the punt return. 14-10 in a game they've been dominating. When you let teams hang around like this, bad things happen..

When Aaron Rodgers isn't Aaron Rodgers, the Packers are not even close to a playoff team. Vikings might have a chance in that division this year.

21-17 N.O. now, mid-2nd Q. D non-existent for either side in the Superdome again.
Figures as soon as the Saints finally re-discover their O, their vastly improving D completely evaporates. Heaven forbid they ever get on the same page with that.

Patriots games this year remind me of early season NCAA games. Just pumping everybody every week.

If Bridgewater comes back that's pretty dangerous. He was asleep in that shot of him.

Yeah, not sure what it takes to get ejected from a game but that definitely seemed like a hit that should qualify.

I'm so sick of Brandon Browner. Teams just pick on him now because he either holds or gets a PI on every play. It's crazy, he just never figures it out. How did he get away with it so much in Seattle?
Especially with Keenan Lewis already there, I'm sure if Loomis/Payton knew how good Delvin Breaux was going to work out, they never would've signed Browner. Why don't you just quit football and go into UFC?
