Let's get one thing straight...

If you call Sean Monahan "Sean-O'han"

I'm not a Cassie Campbell fan - I think she's a bit awkward in her interviews. But the reason she has a job is her stellar hockey resume, and I imagine they are hoping she will get smoother as time goes on.

If they just wanted a woman they'd use one of the many they already have on staff.

How good is Gaudreau? I am starting to think I underestimated his ceiling and I thought I had a pretty high idea of what his ceiling was. Keith Jones said it best on the Philly broadcast the other night. ....Keep your stick on the ice if you're playing with Johnny Gaudreau because the puck is coming.

BTW.....this game should be 7-2 Flames right now.

He chose Shanahan over Gretz for the deciding shot.

Even minus the hand-eye goal and the great pass to Gaudreau, Monahan is playing a really solid game overall. More physical (nice bump with Malkin), better faceoffs and generally involved.

Flames playing good defence tonight. Clogging the neutral zone and creating chances by forcing turnovers. That's the team I remember from last year!

Heblamed the team in front of him on the game winning goal. Threw somebody under the bus, the panel assumed Sedin.

Bourque shot too though IIRC

Beating a dead horse, but Gretzky > Shanahan > Bourque in a shootout 10 times out of 10.

I remember his (Crawford) excuse was the ice was bad.

Flames dominating score-adjusted corsi 61.1%. If this team can make the playoffs they can definitely do way more damage than last year.

Blamed Sedin on the goal and that a defenceman shouldn't have to cover his postion.

Personally, I think we she first got the job she was atrocious and the reason she got it was because she was a female.

However, to her credit, she can keep an interview going and is very articulate. She's improved leaps and bounds. I don't mind her at all anymore. In fact she's good.

Hextall is good too. I hope Hextall takes over from Strombo. He's not improving.
