For some reason it always bugs me when movie trailers use scores from other films. Blizzard has tons of great battle music so why are they using something from 300?

I felt the same thing when movie trailers started heavily borrowing the score from "Requiem for a Dream" in these battle scenes for action movies.

I am desperately hoping we see a WC4 spin out of this game. With WOW subscriptions at a 9 year low (5.5) and sinking 100kish a month, maybe we will. They did a great job with HOTS and their brand of RTS has always been my favourite.

I dont know, I was a little underwhelmed as well but then I though that after just recently getting the Star Wars and Batman v Superman trailers that maybe we have been a little bit spoiled with trailers lately so it just fails to live up to some of the other trailers we have seen recently. It's not a BAD trailer at all, it's just not HOLY #### levels of awesome.

I've been on a media blackout for everything Star Wars related since the first teaser trailer so I can't comment on that. But the footage from Warcraft just looks off.

That movie is going to bomb hard. I don't see it doing well at the box office outside of hardcore Warcraft fans.

I enjoyed the Warcraft trailer, I think what most of you are focusing on is the fact that the Male Orcs are mostly CGI while the female orcs are mostly RL. Also...Warcraft has always been a bit "cartoon-like" so I am looking at this more like a fun retelling of the great background story of Warcraft.

Of course Warcraft is going to suck, it's a video game movie. I doubt even Christopher Nolan could make a good video game movie

Pretty impartial on WarCraft either way. Although I will say, that CGI rarely looks good in first trailers, especially heavily CGI characters.

I'm sure I'll see it with some buds who were more into the games than me.

I'd rather they make a movie with the CGI from the Blizzard cinematic trailers, that would be my preference. The CGI from the movie trailer looks tacky and dated.... still I'm going to watch in theatres.

Really? Wow I actually thought they did a good job of mixing real and CGI there. This movie has a tough road ahead of it as Hemi said, video game movies are banking on the loyalty of their fans. That being said, the Warcraft franchise goes back further than just WOW. There are a lot of 50 year olds out there who cut their teeth for RTS on Orcs and Humans who will love to take their kids to this movie. I think it will do better than most people expect, ESPECIALLY over in Asia, but it won't be able to compete with the top dog comic book movie genre.

I thought the heavy unrealistic, colourful, almost cartoony appearance with the CGI was intentional. They are trying to make it unique and feel like Warcraft.

Well, proving that trailers can be misleading, this movie is getting panned by reviewers and audiences.

I don't even have a problem with the CGI, more with the lines they chose to use for the trailer, and how they appear to be acting. This looks about as good as a made for TV movie like Sharknado, except it looks to me like it's actually trying to be good. Yikes.
