I get more notifications on my phone about Connor McDavid lately than I do about the Flames. It's quite annoying.
"McDavid left game against Flyers"
"McDavid may be out long term, according to McLellan"
"McDavid will have surgery for broken clavicle"
Leave me alone. I want Flames news and important NHL updates. Not an hourly update of McDavid's status or some update that Seguin threw a puck over the glass for someone.

I can't be 100% sure, but If you watch the replay frame by frame, there is a single still that shows Lowe clubbing Connor in the shoulder with his (very well used, yet only 3 years old) sand wedge and smiling.
This is how you win boys. You need to be worse.

I feel bad for the kid he is a special talent that was taking the league by storm.
On the other hand with the Flames season off the rails I am glad we don't have to hear about McDavid for the next couple months other than his recovery

I punted the NHL app for the same reason. Jaromir Jagr being day to day is not an "important update" either.

Is there a good alternative for hockey scores and news? I used the TSN app for a while but it was just as bad as the NHL one for irrelevant notifications.

I feel bad for him. Would definitely have been the Calder favorite the way things were going.
Don't feel bad for Oilers fans though. Obnoxious fanbase was talking trash about how Johnny would have a season-ending injury.

So I usually go home at lunch at get to watch Hockey Central at Noon. Today I was forced to watch Connor Central at noon. The presser with Chia was terrible and Principe and Spector were just mumbling idiots. I'm really starting to hate the kid and it's not even his fault.

I miss when this was on TV (at noon) in Alberta. I can't remember the last time I turned on Sportsnet at lunch and didn't see darts or Blue Jays garbage.
