Of course TSN is going to plaster that everywhere. That's what people are going to want to know about. They sure aren't going to give two spits that the Flames outplayed another team and allowed 4+ goals again.
Hate the Oilers, but get over your insecurity complex. Calgary and Edmonton are exactly the same goddamn place.

There's a difference between reporting the injury and having 7 of the same articles at the top of the page. We get the point that he's injured either way, one is just a little more professional.

Don't really care that much.
"He's exciting to watch" ...who's watching him when he's not playing vs the Flames? I'm not. So long as the Oilers are losing I'm content. But I'm not tuning into their games nightly to watch some kid they never should've gotten. #### that noise.
At least if he's out the sports media will start covering the league like professionals again, and not mouth-frothing fanboys.

I always cringe when I see injuries like that. The kid had things going great for him and then injury happens. Looks similar to what happened to Kane when he broke his collarbone. Hopefully he makes a full recovery.
This also puts a dagger into any playoff asperations the Oilers may have had. By the time he returns the Oil will be fighting with the Jackets for last place in the league.

At least it is a broken collarbone and not a tendon or joint. He will be back to 100%.

I can say with all sincerity that Calgary and Edmonton are not exactly the same goddamn place, as a matter of fact they are not even close in likeliness.
Is your Taiwan the same goddamn place as China?

Not all broken collarbones are fast healing and an easy fix. here's what mine looked like when I was 24. I broke it scraping 2 idiots and rammed it into a door jam and didn't even know it was broken until 15 minutes afterwards. I took me a year to get full mobility and strength back.

^Further to your point, once you break a clavicle once you are at high risk for breaking it again. I've known friends who have broken the same clavicle multiple times, and it took much less impact to break it the second, third, fourth time.

Not sure being 5-8 was much of a season to write home about so far anyway.

As Flame fans, we really shouldn't be throwing stones with the glass house and all...
It's never good to see a player get injured, especially a really good player and especially a young player. This sucks for him as a person and for hockey in general. The thing that pisses me off the most about this injury is that the oilers will likely be a lottery team again and end up with another good young player. The oilers are a terrible franchise and they'll just use injuries as an excuse and they'll still dominate the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
This thread is about McDavid's injury and as fans we're supposed to be compassionate and all but I really don't like him simply because he's an oiler and I hate the oilers.

He'll be fine. Isn't it an Oiler's right of passage to have a shoulder injury anyway?
I just hope there aren't updates on his progress everyday.

Could you be any more effing smug? Get lost.
We had people like Randy Sportak proclaiming doom and gloom for the bloody league not five minutes after the injury. I'm disappointed for McDavid as an individual, but if you don't think people have a right to be supremely annoyed with the embarrassing level of overhype, then I can think of a few places you can stick your delusions of superiority.

Tough luck for the kid, and for the league as a whole. Couldn't happen to a better team.
Excellent luck for my prop bets on Eichel at 4/1 and especially Artemi Panarin at 14/1.
