Once again, the Flames' inability to capitalize on their chances comes back to bite them in the arse. Other than that, they've played great so far and have been the far better team.

As long as they keep playing the same they'll be fine, but what a crap goal to give up.

Boy Giordano and Wideman both just gave up there on that play. Both standing on the edge of the crease leaving Duchene all the time in the world to wrap that one in the net.

Ramo just makes that initial save then sits there dumbfounded instead of looking for where the puck is. No sense of urgency to find and cover the puck.

I would not call that lazy. The puck was in his feet and Duchene nabbed it from under his. If you're going to blame anyone I guess it could be Gio, but that's just good ol' fashioned bad luck

He would have had to break his back.

Dominant first period by the Flames so, of course, we're trailing.

We were dominant until that goal.

How the hell did the avs have 17 shots in that period? 75% of the time were played in the avs zone.

Lot of outside shots, i think they got 6 shots on the opening PP alone.

Was gonna say that. Kipper would have not died on that like Ramo did.

The Flames played really well. Could have had 4 or 5 goals. Keep it going in the 2nd and they'll be ok. Tough to get too upset when they play well and trail after one period.

Default Flames @ Avs

Ramo is at fault!? I swear some people around here won't be happy unless Calgary goes 82-0-0 with 0GA.

They had a PP that was producing some good chances. other than that, a ton of putting pucks on net from distance.

Yeah, I find that really hard to believe.
And Calgary with only 11? I see the Avs blocked 12, but that still sounds like bs.
