Whisenhunt was always overrated. No idea how he got a second head coaching gig after the dumpster fire he turned Arizona into.

Wisenhunt is a bad head coach, but to be fair Mariota and the Titans all suck as well.

Kaep is the same as he has always been.
But the offensive line started going bad last year and got (much) worse this year. Frank Gore was really good a blocking as well as running, and he is gone. And Harbaugh provided a lot of structure which gave Kaep confidence; so that is gone.
It won't matter who is QB right now. This is a tank job from this point on.

I get that. It's the same thing in Detroit. Stafford isn't playing well, but he's not even anywhere near the biggest issue with that team. Unless there's stuff going on in the locker room where he's lost the team I'm not sure how you get away from Kaepernick though.

You can add Whisenhut to the list of guys who make really good coordinators, but not good head coaches.
I suspect he'll pop up somewhere as an OC next year. But like Wade Phillips, Romeo Crennel, Josh McDaniels...he needs to stick to coordinating.

Sounds like Denver just missed the deadline to send next year's 1st and 2nd to The Sadness Factory for Joe Thomas and a 4th. Think I'm OK with them not getting that deal to go through.

they are a year ahead of where I expected and it's very nice to see
2014 draft could go down as an all timer for them in a few years time, if you did a re-draft right now its arguable they could have the 1st and 2nd overall picks in Carr and Mack

I'm amazed that Denver can keep adding these big contracts, and stay under the cap. Didn't they just add Ware and Talib ($9 M and $7 M)? Thomas is $10 M. Ware has been there 2 years now.

Gotta say, the one silver lining about this Eagles season is that their remaining schedule is pretty soft.
@Dallas
vs. Miami
vs. Tampa
@ Detroit
@ New England
vs. Buffalo
vs. Arizona
Vs. Washington
@ Giants
They should be able to go 7-2 or 6-3 over that stretch...but then again they're also terrible.

Lions fire GM Martin Mayhew and President Tom Lewand. You would imagine Jim Caldwell is also on his way out barring a massive turnaround this year.

NEW Patriots cheating scandal???
http://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nfl/...SjKt?li=AA54y7
Obviously the article is mocking of all the Patriots paranoia. I found it kinda funny though and it will, no doubt, instigate some of the Pat's haters.

I cant quite recall the opener against Pitt, but I believe they have had the ball to start the second half in every game but last week. Winning the coin toss, or losing it and the other team choosing not to defer, has absolutely been a bigger factor than any silly ball deflation tactics.

The pictures of the aftermath of Greg Hardy's assault on his girlfriend are up on Deadspin, and they're as awful as expected. The Cowboys are one hell of a classy organization keeping this guy employed.

So William Gay gets fined for this...
Quote:
Pittsburgh Steelers safety William Gay has been fined $5,787 for wearing purple cleats in Week 7 in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, reports NFL.com’s Aditi Kinkhabwala.
Gay’s mother was killed in an act of domestic violence. He was fined because the purple cleats violate the NFL’s uniform code.

But Greg Hardy is still allowed in the league. Right. Cowboys might cut him if the pressure reaches unbearable levels, but probably not. He can rush the passer at a high level, and isn't currently in jail. That's all that matters. NFL really is a pretty disgusting league deep down.

Jerry and Goodell have some serious explaining to do. Obviously this is not shocking, new evidence. They surely must have known about this before hand. And still let this guy back in the league, gave him a good contract, and Jerry of course like the assclown he is called him a "leader". They are in for a rough couple days.
