				 Tavares "very sick"

			Tweet from NY press:
"Capuano: Tavares still very sick, getting checked out again today. "I don't expect him here for a little bit.""

The "very" sick has people freaking out a bit. Usually media doesn't toss that around lightly. Prevailing rumor seems to be Pneumonia.

Not good for the Isles. Hopefully he's back soon and it's just poor choice of wording.

Damn, these guys are so fit and have incredible immune systems. For him to be "very" sick, outside of the flue (which is the norm for athletes) is certainly a concern.
 Get better soon JT!

Apparently something is going going through the dressing room. Many chalking their sluggish offense of late to it..

Yeah it's possible that Tavares just has some complications from something normal. I don't think they'd call him "very sick" in the media if he just had the flu.

I don't count him among the electrifying players of the NHL. He is one of the best, no question. But efficient is probably the word I would use. Does the job right, and isn't too flashy about it.

Guys who are electrifying: Crosby, Ovi, Stamkos, Kane, Johnny, et al.

I saw "very sick" in the title and I immediately assumed, like, deathbed cancer sick. Which was kind of horrifying.
Hopefully it doesn't spread around the league too much.

There has been a confirmed case of bubonic plague in the US recently.
Other than that, my guess would be something like meningitis.
