That was clealry Rick calling for the gate to be opened at the end. So we know he's alive, though we don't know how he got out of that.
What did Morgan's quote about 16 out of 19 on the floor or whatever mean?

Did everyone else notice that Steve Yuen (Glenn) was not in the opening credits?
A sign Glenn is actually dead? Or the producers just messing with everyone?

That was my favourite episode of TWD so far. The acting was as good as it has ever been on the show and the writing, the same. Moving, heartfelt and well acted. Awesome episode.

To me that episode was very much setting up the two sides of an upcoming battle.
Humanity (Morgan) v Inhumanity (Wolves)
The big question for the show is where does Rick end up.
I think it is important for the show to explore these continual battles/struggles to appeal to a large or broad audience.
I have not read the comics, and this is not a request for spoilers, but what I have read about the comics, is that are dark. Both the actions of the Good Guys (Rick et. al.) and the Bad Guys (Governer for example). I don't think that a show that dark would appeal to a large enough audience to keep the show on TV.

Great acting, well done episode. Just felt like it was a bit long for what they were trying to get across. We knew what was going to happen, there were a few twists like the jail cell, Eastman's background and then the part about his family and revenge, that was neat.. but I didn't need 90 minutes of it.
Would love to see them do some 90 minute episodes of the whole group..

The comics are definately a few degrees darker. I am letting the show lead, but it's hard not to want to read ahead. Well worth it if your a fan.

I just started reading the comics as well.
I wouldn't say they are necessarily darker. They are definitely more gruesome at points, and there are things in the comics that you wouldn't get a way with, except in the most R-rated of gore/grindhouse films.
The comics tend to move through certain things a little quicker. In some ways I find the way the show dwells on certain psychological issues to be darker.
Overall, I'd say the comics have more shock value, but the show is more of a mind $#$#.

I finally am caught up. I was avoiding this thread because I didn't see episode 3 or 4 until last night.
I didn't really consider the possibility that Glenn was alive until reading the posts on here. I kind of hope that he is alive. He is really the only "realistic" male character on the show that is a normal guy and not a complete caricature. Plus, he is the only Canadian actor from the main group still kicking.
The story seems overdue to have one of the A-listers die though.

How could they hear the horn from Alexandria but not be able to get there in less then like 5 minutes?

We can spent all day asking questions, like where do they get gun oil to clean their weapons.
But we don't and won't.

Haha I know that. But it just seems silly to look past something like that.

Anybody else wondering if Eastman was actually a reformed Crighton. The grave marker some kind of symbolic "farewell" to that life.

yes, in the show about walking dead people who eat living people and clans of living people lashing out at other clans of living people over food and shelter where people can whip through zombie heads with chains the silly thing is how they can hear a horn and not make it there in 5 minutes.
When watching something that is classified as fiction, it's probably best to just accept things and go with it.

Yeah I dunno how a truck horn can be heard that clearly from what seems to be at least 10 miles away based on how long it took them to get back.
It's actually funny. But not going to dwell on it. There are looots of holes in this show.

I'd think a truck horn could travel quite far when there are essentially no other man made noise around.

I have no idea why you guys think Glen may still be alive. We literally saw the zombies eating him. You don't come back from that.

We literally did not see them eating him. They were very careful with showing that the dumbass landed on top of him as well as the angle of the guts eating not showing it was Glen's. We'll find out soon enough, but this was planned in advance to be a bit of cliffhanger.

Actually, you "literally" didn't...
Whatever was being eaten could not, without inference, be confirmed to have been from Glenn.
I would be rather peeved if he walks out of the situation unscathed, though. The implication that he was being eaten is very strong.

We saw Zombies eating up Nicholas, You never saw Glenn being devoured.
Knowing Walking Dead they'll have Glenn conveniently slide under the dumpster or some random guy will save the day and distract the zombies long enough for him to get out of harms way.
