That's three Royals players who have had a parent pass away in the last few months. Looks like Volquez only found out after the game.

Yeah and the Royals stole signs from the Jays too... it only gets under your skin if you let it.

Ventura has to hit tonight can Syndegaard bean him with a 100mph heater?

Morales had no idea what to do with that one. Total brain cramp.

Ahhh sweet regression to the mean for Escobar and Zobrist. Nice to see. Mets win this in 6.

Just saw the opening pitch to Escobar tonight.
Beauty.
Jays needed some of that swagger, as shown in that regular season series in Toronto.
Shocked that Ventura after his trash talking in the Jays series, and throwing at Lawrie, didn't throw one at a Met. Though I expect that at some point from one of the Royals crybabies.

I hate the Royals and most of their players, but man Perez is a beaut. One of my favourite non-Jays in MLB. Talented, takes shots like a champ, seems like a nice guy and his super thick accent and poor English makes for a good interview.

Harvey talked his way into the 9th, and Familia blows his third save. Terrible throw by Duda though, not even close and good running by Hosmer.

Is it still a blown save if he's not responsible for the runner?

Matt Harvey dominated the #Royals as the #Mets forced a Game 6 in the #WorldSeries. http://ow.ly/U74uS

Terrible base running actually. He would've been out by a mile with a half decent throw. Like usual, the Royals are lucky enough to benefit from a ridiculous mistake at the wrong time. That was pitch and catch to throw out Hosmer.
And all this after Collins is stupid enough to throw out the numbers and go with Harvey four times through the heart of the order over his lights out closer. The Royals are going to be the worst World Series team in history.

They put pressure on the defense. Duda is a mediocre first baseman so they went for it.
Gotta hand it to the Royals this postseason, they have killed all three closers they have faced.
