A group in Vancouver was suposed to be turning Alien Legion into an animated feature. Wonder whatever happened to that?

That'd be really cool. It was a great story for quite a few issues.

Does anyone know anything about the Hellboy animated series? Is it available or even ever make it to film? I read they were thinking about, but never heard much more. Like I said though, I'm kinda out of the loop.

Haven't bought a comic since my early teens (Sans Watchmen trade paperback) when girls started to take over. This thread made me pick up a copy of X-Men along with the morning paper at a Mac's this morning. Some dude named Vulcan was kicking ass, I enjoyed it. I might get more.

IIRC Vulcan is Cyclops evil brother. I didn't even know they still sold comics at newstand/convienience stores, etc.

I thought Havok was Cyclopes evil brother?
I was suprised too, they were pretty limited and I doubt they do it with any consistancy but it was a nice suprise to see.

The X-Men have one the most convoluted indecipherable continuities in comics. I always read an x-man comic knowing that every character may have multilpe siblings or parents waiting in the woodwork to appear. It is worse than the soaps. (DC and '52' are not much better)
If you are thinking of getting back into comics, I highly recommend popping into a comic shop or chapters or your local library and grabing a trade - a collection of 4-8 regular comics. They usually have a complete story and are better bang for your buck.
Grant Morrison wrote some good x-men stuff. Rucka's Wolverine was great. Recent Daredevil and Cpt. America stuff is supposed to be good and most of it has been collected.

There's lots of good stuff out there.
I really enjoy The Ultimates. It's in the vein of Ultimate Spiderman or X-Men but essentially for the Avengers.
Very gritty and interesting alternate reality to normal Marval canon. Art work is too impressive but sometimes annoying as the artist takes so long to do an issue that it may be three months in between and usually from a pretty stellar cliff hanger. Like when most of the avengers were betrayed and or killed and america was invaded and taken over by the likes of Loki and the Red skull. But all done in a less spandexy way.
Very much worth buying the collected pieces I'd say.

The comic bubble crashed in the mid-90s. There really is no value to them.
And yes, Vulcan is yet another Summers brother.
