Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain injured in the Arsenal game apparently.

Klopp's first win could bring the sword down on Jose.

Somehow this bothers me more than exiting the competition. I usually like the league cup as an extra bit of football too, it was how I got to attend my first Arsenal match.

Is that it for Mourinho? It might cost £30M but they've surely quit on him so it has to be done I would think.

Its great to see Chelsea lose but how Lucas was still on the field after a clear second yellow is beyond me.

If a team like West Ham or Leicester is going to make the top 4 this is the year because neither of those two teams that played this morning will be close to the top 4.

Liverpool is actually not far off. Plus there's Tottenham who have been decent lately, I'd be shocked if they couldn't seize the opportunity to get into the top 4.

I think West Ham is for real though. Leicester will drop off at some point, they can't turn 0-2 deficits into wins forever. Mahrez and Vardy have been excellent though.

Not far off in points maybe but in quality they are far off in my view. Not a lot (if any) talent there although maybe with Klopp they will finally figure out how to use Benteke.

Leicester and West Ham both are going to fade soon

West Ham have had their opponents pick up red cards in I think 7 of 11 games now, both have been lucky with finishing (for and against as well)

Opta has City/Arsenal/Spurs far ahead of the others in terms of expected goal difference (+15/11/10) and the next highest team is at +6

Leicester at +0.6, West Ham -1.59

As much as I like seeing random clubs in the Top 4 and as much as it pains me to say, England needs Spurs to place 4th in order to fend off Italy in the UEFA coefficient rankings.

I don't know anything about soccer but am intrigued by what appears to be a good race for the last couple spots in the top 4.

Who's a non big name team that I can cheer for and why? My fandom is for sale.

My first thought is West Ham because they come from a poorer off part of London. My second thought is Liverpool. I know they're a bigger name but a friend is a fan.

I will be bandwagonly honest and say that a team with a shot of qualifying would be a plus.

Absolute crap. Thank god for pvr.

I could care less about results. I want that safe, boring, arrogant sob gone with his cowardly, slow, sideways, boring, pointless, dull, risk free football.

Actually, it's probably more exciting if you go for one of the lower placed teams with no hope of finishing in the top 4. Like Chelsea.

Come and cheer for Tottenham Hotspur. They could make the top four and as an added bonus you can enjoy the North London Derby next weekend with a win over Arsenal!

I'm cheering for Chelsea to be relegated. How hilarious would that be!?

I could get behind the Spurs. Any reason why?

I would also like to see Chelsea get relegated. Just for the story really. Stir **** up just for the sake of it.

I really think that stupid Leicester game last year broke van Gaal. United was actually playing exciting football back then when Herrera and di Maria were new in the team, but then that Leicester game happened and van Gaal never returned to playing attacking football. Frustrating as hell, I personally think that a more creative and adventurous manager would get a lot out of that attacking group.

Mourinho kind of reminds me of Mr. Garrison in that South Park episode where he tried hard to get fired. "Now can I PLEASE get fired and get my 25 million dollars?"

Its hard to give you a solid reason to hop on a bandwagon really, but with Spurs you get a club that is fairly young and going in the right direction. If you want an underdog to cheer for that would also fit. Tomorrow they play Aston Villa and if they want any chance to finish in the top 4 they have to win that game (and they should, easily).

Truthfully, I'm not a great gauge. I just went to a game a White Hart Lane and am sort of obsessed now. Some of these other guys probably have way more reason to cheer for their teams and are more knowledgeable than me. Except the Arsenal supporters!

Haha, that's funny and I actually laughed at that. I hate to say it, but this could be the year If they add a striker and don't sell Kane in January, and if he puts up another 25ish this year and if Son returns and looks good. OK...a few ifs there, but it is early. They haven't lost since August, and are moving in the right direction.

Nonsense! Liverpool are going to win the league!

Daniel Sturridge is going to wake up and realize hes not the most fragile man in all of sport and plays all 90 minutes of every game for the rest of the season and scores 40 goals all of which will be assisted by Coutinho.

Then Skrtel and Sakho are going to switch sides in their CB partnership after coming to the realization that they're both better in the other's position and become the most solid and dominant CB pairing the World has ever known!

In addition to which Simon Mignolet takes over as Belgium's #1 due to Courtois' injury, gains ultimate confidence and between him and his now super-stellar CBs in front of him never allows another goal again.

Liverpool never lose another match. Win the League and next year's CL. And some other stuff. Why not?

Wait....is this real life or is this just fantasy...?
