Default Russian Airbus crashes in Egypt

Early reports but the Airbus A-321 operated by Russian airline Kogalymavia had just taken off from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, on its way to the Russian city of St Petersburg when the plane lost communications with flight officials. 224 aboard.

Waiting for updates on CNN

This link says there are voices heard inside the wreckage. How terrifying and amazing. I hope they can get them out safely, if there are indeed survivors.

No survivors and initial indications are technical difficulties. Although I am not sure Russia would want give terrorists credit if it was a terrorist act.

If Russia can blame it on ISIS it would give them cause to go crazy on them throughout the Middle East.

They don't need a cause. They already do what they want.

Giving credit to terrorist would be a morale boost for the people they are fighting against, so I personally don't think that it would be in their best interests admit it.

Yes it is horrible. So was MH17. We just heard a few weeks ago of the report that put the blame on the Russians for it. Now a Russian plane goes down in currently questionable circumstances. I didn't mean to seam insensitive. Just connecting dots...

except for all report of today's crash points to a technical problem, and it was well known that (even at the time of the MH17 it was known that it was a russian weapon). It was also in Egypt and not Malaysia (7,925km apart)

I don't think there are really any dots between Malaysia and this crash to of jumped on, definitely not off what has been initially reported.

They have one of the black boxes now, hopefully we'll find out what it was quickly.

Connecting what dots? do you even think there would be a small chance Malaysian's or the Dutch would pay back Russia in this way.

Eye for an eye?

Too high for manpads so I doubt they did it with a missile.

If we can't make wild baseless speculations on an internet forum, where can we?

ISIS benefits from claiming responsibility for everything that could possibly be a terrorist attacks as it gets them recruits by making a bunch of illiterate, dumb peasants believe that they shot down an airliner and are "getting things done". The most gullible ones are turned into suicide bombers because if you are dumb enough to believe propaganda, thats probably only job you qualify for
