Haha, ya, I think the dude needs a night off. Someone can fill in, and he can be "sick."
He's getting a bit aggressive. Needs to back off and remember he has a show cause people call in. If he's a dick to everyone, can't see people wanting to call in.

Just gonna toss my thoughts into the blender and they are not very original. Lately we have outplayed the Rangers, Islanders, Senators and Montreal for large parts of each game, and especially through the first period. The team has been playing good and are showing great signs of life. We just can't score. That would be a problem at any point in any season, but it wouldn't have been this big of a problem if we didn't let in a minimum of four damn goals every single game. Simplify the defensive game, limit the breakdowns and put a plywood cutout of Kipper in front of the net and we might stop more pucks. It is actually possible to survive runs of low scoring without being completely destroyed in the standings. It's been done before.

The long stretch pass doesn't work as teams have figured out how to play us.
Players look totaly lost as to what they should be doing. I don't know if it's because of a new systen the coaching staff is trying to install, but they have zero confidence right now and that scares me.
Too many turnovers in our own end that lead to goals.
Have the players quit on the coach? Maybe they have no confidence the staff can lead us out of this slump? It does make you wonder though.

Pinder is in tomorrow night, but he's even worse for caller patience.

Thats an understatement. I'm a complete ####### generally speaking but Pat is making me whince even. Not good for a guy that needs to stay likeable to have a show.

I actually really enjoyed the season of grouchy Rob Kerr on overtime. I hope Pat starts really laying into some of these guys. It's good radio. Look at Jim Rome.

Patty is getting kinda douchy here. We know what you think Pat, no need to be so emotional at nearly every caller.

Blech.
Blaming the goalies is easy. But this team is giving up breakaways, turning over the puck deep in their zone, and leaving players open for tap-ins. Your game plan can't be to give up prime chances and then tsk tsk the goalie for letting them in.
I do think juggling the forward lines the last two games has balanced out the offense a bit, and I think the team is doing better in that aspect. Perhaps the first adjustment is to trust the forwards more to create offense, and rein in the dmen a bit from their offense heavy attitude.
Russell can definitely use a night off. He's really really struggling out there. He isn't making the big gaffe that coughs the puck up directly into the slot, but rather he's making the very soft plays on weak / ill-advised pinches (first goal) and just poor puck management (4th goal) that eventually leads to golden chances.
Right now the mental aspect is the biggest challenge for this team. Let's hope they start to take small steps and get a win against Edmonton.

I think I'm going to make it a game. Take a shot every time someone loses their mind on the air. I'll be good and drunk 30 minutes in.

Ya no I hate Jim Rome. If I wanted to see Jerry spirnger I would watch Jerry Springer. If I wanted to hear trash radio I would listen to Stern ( which I do) but for someone reporting on the Flames as a professional I expect a professional to do so in a professional manner. Not some #### yelling and screaming for desageeing hell he makes Eric Francis look like Elliott Friedman.

I don't think anyone is blaming the goalies. They're not the problem, but they're also not doing anything to help. One crucial save, or one game without a soft goal would be fantastic.

Oh for sure, he's dealt with some pretty bad calls, but he's usually much better at dealing with them. I've been listening to the show on and off for the last couple years, and I've never heard him near-lose it so many times.
