It is a bad scene, but there were worse times when I knew that the team really had no hope for the near future. I still feel that the future is bright--granted, maybe not tomorrow night... then again, maybe Ramo returns to his better form from last year and the team could start to win some games. Who the F knows?

In any case there is no point freaking out too severely.

It is certainly worse to be a Duck's fan at this particular moment. I'm actually looking forward to the first game between the teams; something's gotta give!

Russel freaking sucks in the defensive zone. He tries to block every shot thinking he's a goalie instead of being in the right position.

The way the goalies are playing maybe Ortio can play defence and Russel can strap on the pads. It won't make a difference.

I guess this is on Brad to either ride out or shake up. I'd rather see a shakeup since there is too much talent on this team to just leave it as is and ride it out. Something needs to be done.

The Flames last season were an anomaly.albeit, a great story
They need a lot of pieces to be filled and mature
before they can be considered a legitimate contender.

I dont think he was neccesarily given away. I know it was a numbers game this year, but I dont think it should ever should have gotten to that point. His roster spot should have been as secured as any of Stajan, Bollig or Jooris' long before this year.

I honestly think Bob should try to take the pressure off the players with a talk before the Edmonton game and just let them play and keep things simple. They probably hate themselves right now. They know they can be better and don't need more pressure added on by the media and everyone else. They gotta reset, enjoy the game again and just take it one period at at time
