Anyways I did think you said you weren't changing your mind so I will leave at that was a weak goal by Ortio and coupled with the other 3 it has been a poor night for him so far (and saying poor might be being kind).
Of course, but take it in context. A back and forth pass from the point is one situation. A player cutting across the high slot is another.

In this context, I don't believe you can fault the goaltender. However, if you're fine at leaving it on the floor at this point, I am too. I mean, I don't mind arguing my side but I also know I'm (and you're) not always going to change minds (even though I'm receptive to seeing it from another well-argued perspective), and at some point the argument becomes exhausted.

Third period, GO FLAMES GO!

Fair point. But both the goal tending and the Defense Has to be Better bottom line neither is getting it done. Something's gotta give there.

Not quite yet. But I think for a lot of us the 'season's over' point is losing tonight and tomorrow vs EDM.

It's there anywhere to see icing stats? I'd be really interested in seeing what team ices the puck the most.

I would be amazed if it wasn't Calgary. Their system is basically to ice the puck, with an occasional tip in.

I am not sure he has much to work with.

Hiller was good in Anaheim but was starting to decline and is now getting older so he is getting to the point where he is likely better suited to be a back-up.

Ramo has never shown the ability or game to be an NHL starter so is that Sigalet's fault?

Ortio is young and although we are excited about him is it because he is good and should be a starter or was he the best hope where we didn't really have any other good options?

That's why I'd be interested. I watch mostly flames games but it's easily 2:1 for Flames every game

Did Hudler just draw a penalty by being a huge wuss?

Not saying it doesn't hurt, but time to accept the nay Sayers last year were right, but also look at the positives, our young core is way better than we imagined they could be before last year.

This is BS. Playoffs are the only option- every year. No fan should settle for less from their team. This is the NHL, FFS, teams are expected to push for the playoffs every year. Calgary will get into their groove soon enough. Believe, visualize, and cheer for your team assuming they are winners. Be a REAL fan
