Aren't the western conference trans only playing like 60% of the games the rest are?

They play 8 fewer games. It is designed to eliminated the teams playing 3 games in 3 nights. If my math is correct they play 12% fewer games

Hmm, local fans will be *temporarily* pissed off at that. Saw many social media posts asking about him and a local news interview where people said they aren't buying a jersey until Hunt makes the team.

Yeah, he was mainly at training camp to help sell the new team to the long time Thunder fans.

Despite his good showing in some exhibition games, he is 5'8'' 28 years old and never had an ECHL season above .5 pts/game. Didn't really have a chance with so many forwards on the Heat.

Could be a long wait for those jerseys now.

I have a feeling they'll latch on to some shiny new players very soon.

From the sounds of things the Fan Attic in Stockton arena wasn't even carrying Heat jerseys on opening, so they couldn't have bought one if they wanted.

Ramo assigned to Stockton. Wonder if Simpson gets assigned to Adirondack or if a 3 another goalie problem occurs.

Edit: Heat down 2-0 after 1 period.

Gillies with 10 saves on 12 shots.

Ty Wotherspoon -2 on the night.

Yeah, got smoked 5-1 by San Antonio

Gillies got pulled after the 2nd after giving up 5 goals on 25 shots. Ramo came in for the 3rd and stopped 6 of 6.

Freddie Hamilton scored, from Arnold and Granlund.

Shots were 31-26 for the Rampage

So defense is an issue both in Calgary and in Stockton.

I wonder if there's some kind of a system problem here. After all, Stockton is supposed to be playing with mostly the same system as Calgary to make transitioning between the teams easier. Maybe they've been trying to change the system to something that's just not working.

Stockton recalls Kent Simpson and Ryan Lomberg.

Simpson make sense as Ramo is likely being called up because of Ramo's injury.

Not sure why Lomberg yet.

Could be nothing but Brandon Wheatkings traded Bukarts to Portland.

They now have an open import slot on their roster (e.g. Kylington).

A LW (Agostino? Elson?) being called up?

Ramo recall official... Looks like Lomberg recall maybe because of an injury.

Dean Molberg @fan960boomer
Re: Kylington to Brandon rumor/report...told no change in plans at this point. Flames want to see him play more AHL games (only 4 this far)

It would be awesome if the Heat played hockey games every now and then.
