But is there going to be a legit ep 8 and 9 that continues the "main" story?
Yes, although I believe Abrams won't be directing either of them.
Then there are spinoffs planned for each year that we don't see a main story movie. I believe those will be origins stories, Han Solo and Boba Fett are the two names I have seen so far.

His reasoning is that if there are a lot of Sith it dilutes the strength of the Dark Side.
How does this work? Is the force some finite resource that gets diluted if a lot of people tap into it?
If the Force worked like Highlander and each guy who cut off the previous guy's head gets his quickening power (and the cumulative power of every head that guy cut off too) so that it just concentrates and concentrates, that would make more sense. You never see that though.
In an earlier trailer Luke is narrating about how he was a Jedi, like his father before him. If it is revealed that he's evil, then he's the new Sith Lord? And Adam Driver is the person that he's speaking to in the narration?
That dialog is actually from the end of Return of the Jedi, when Luke tells Leia that Vader is his father, and she's his sister.

Man are you serious? That's so exciting!
I imagine the hardcore Star Wars guys must be having multiple nerdgasms hahaha.
I wonder if, in the trailer when he says "you have that power too" he is talking to one of Leia's kids. It would make sense in the continuity of the speech. So maybe he will train one or both of Leia's children.
I think labeling Luke as either dark or light is the wrong idea. I think he'll be in some gray area trying to find the true balance of the force. Maybe that's why we haven't seen him in the trailers or posters, all of which have contrasted showing the light vs. dark

I think Harrison Ford is hilarious in these settings, hopefully this interview puts to rest the arguments made by people that Ford has some problems with Lucas.
He had a lot of problems with dialogue especially in ANH.

So Harrison always knew what a Parsec was after all!

But if we give Lucas some credit for foreshadowing. Luke's robes here are pretty similar to Darth Sidious'.
Or that has nothing to do with foreshadowing a movie 30 years later, and everything to do with Luke's struggle between light/dark within that actual movie and keeping the viewer unsure of whether he would turn.
