Jonas Hiller - lower body injury. Out a minimum of 1 week UPD: Ramo recalled
Derek Wills @Fan960Wills
After collision with #Senators forward Bobby Ryan, #Flames goaltender Jonas Hiller has a lower body injury and will be reevaluated tomorrow.
And lets leave the unclassy "I am glad he got hurt" responses out of this please

Safe to say that Ramo is coming back up?

I think Hiller will be out for a while. Didn't he have a case of Vertigo a couple of seasons ago. Any doctors know if a concussion or neck injury would cause that to relapse?

Tonight I learned the neck and head belong to the lower body. Or perhaps he got a strain doing the splits and then being run back like that, with his right leg in front of the post as the collision happened.
Hope you're well soon, Hiller.

He had quite the limp going down the tunnel. I would imagine he will be out a couple weeks, any lower body injury for a goalie will take time.

They should look into a suspension. The Sens player launched his shoulder into his head.

Looks like a groin injury if I had to guess.

Hartley should run with Ortio now. If they call up red light Ramo and give him more starts I think I might cry.

Hope it isn't serious, get well.
Ortio gets offered the starter spot on a silver plate. Hope he runs with it.

Hopefully Hiller is okay. Never like seeing guys get hurt. We have to remember that at the end of the day, it's just hockey and these guys are still just human beings.

I'm pretty surprised it's a lower body injury based on the way his neck/back torqued.

So "The Shooter Tutor" and now "Red Light Ramo"?
If we're going to make up insulting nicknames atleast make them good

Good nicknames are reserved for good players. Didn't mean to upset you, I'm just frustrated. The last thing I wasn't to see is Karri Ramo at this point. If Hiller is gone for any length of time, hopefully BT just takes a chance on someone new off the junk heap, even if it's a lateral move. Get Vernon out of retirement or something, anything but Karri Ramo...

Didn't look good when he got hit, but this may be Ortio's chance to run with things a bit.

Hiller isn't the #1 goalie you ride with all season long, but he is much better than what he has shown this year. Clearly he is struggling, and needs something to refresh, recharge, or reset his frame of mind. So, maybe the injury is a blessing in disguise. Get his mind off his struggles between the pipes and focus on rehabbing his injury so that he can refocus when he returns.

It was always going to be a 3 goalie team. If Hiller went 0-3 after Ramo got sent down they probably would have swapped them anyways.

Hillers skate was anchoring the post when Ryan made impact on Hiller. It bent a bit before the post came off its moorings. Hope he isn't out long term.

If you take the Falcrom lever theory into this hit just watch his lower back and right hip . That is the point on his body would have the most torque and literally had reached his bending point.
