Why is it that when other teams shoot the pick it goes in, but not when the Flames do? Know what I mean?

Attendance tonight: 11,582.
Always nice to see fans support a good team.

Both Burke and Treliving inherited him. As we've seen Treliving do with players, he's not scared to cut bait when he thinks he's made a mistake. I'd be surprised if Hartley makes it to the allstar game.

LOL.
That's nice. I'm not buying that he's over the top irrational. He's never struck me as that type of guy.

The worst part about this start to the season is that it just fuels the "regression to the mean" arguments

Did the Islanders get good or did the Flames get really, really bad?

Ortio isn't responsible for him being the only player actually playing tonight for the Flames.
If this was Ramo/Hiller, we'd be closing in on double digits.

I'm not blaming Ortio. He was great for two periods but they couldn't score a goal.

This team has no physical presence. Bollig and Engelland are worthless. Seriously need Bouma, Ferland and Byron.

I don't understand how this team can take such a massive step backwards? It's essentially the same f------ squad from last season, and they went from being an exciting, fast, hard working team with an explosive offence...to basically being the Oilers in a mere 5 months. Explain that to me.

Flames have zero confidence and it shows. They are all in their own heads, overthinking and compounding their own bad luck. They need to work harder and create their own luck instead of waiting for it to happen for them.

I've thought Smid has provided some much needed physicality and a simple game.
