If so do you guys maintain a database with all the known and unknown bugs that occur in the DSRs, mainly in the IPG(not OpenTV or Neptune)?
i assume by DSR your're talking about a digital satellite receiver? Shaw owns Starchoice, but they're two seperate companies. as such i know absoultly nothing about them or their products. but i would assume like Shaw they do keep track of any errors or bugs with their equipment so it wouldn't hurt to call in if you're having problems. unfortunatly with problems that are hardware or firmware based, it's unlikely that Shaw, Starchoice, or any other TV provider would be able to do much as it's up to the manufacturer to fix those issues (which is never a quick process)

I haven't seen the flyer yet but apparently Soundsaround has a refurbished DCT6412 for $545 tomorrow.

Not sure if that is before or after credits.

Edit- it is $545 and then ~$200 in credits so net of ~$350

Off topic a bit perhaps, but has anyone had problems lately with audio and video not quite syncing up? It doesn't seem to happen on the analog channels, usually just the digital channels from time to time. But last night was the first time I noticed it happening on the HD channels.

During the NFL game last night the words were a heartbeat ahead of the voices. You wouldn't notice it until they had Andrea Kremer or John Madden in the frame. Once in a while the picture would hiccup and everything would be in sync again. It also happened while (my wife, I swear) was watching Grey's Anatomy. So annoying.

Do you think it's the cable or the TV?

Have the flyer in front of me

DCT6412 is $545 less programing credits and it comes to $333.

DCT6200 is $356 less programing credits and it comes to $144

The price for the 6200 is not that great and it is refurbised. I boutght mine a year ago new for $309. Have the prices increased that much on them?

The Shaw deals suck at Soundsaround. The PVR can be had for $650 (less credits) usually, and the one they're advertising, aside from being refurb, is not the newer 6416 model with a 160GB HD (vs 120).
