I could very well be mistaken, but when I watched it I thought after Rick stabbed the first zombie and broke the knife that he punched through the 2nd before getting the machete out for third. My thought was that he broke his hand punching through the zombies skull in a moment of bad-ass anger...

Maybe that is just my imagination wanting Rick to go back to being berserk at times.

I think he's still pretty berserk. That whole meltdown against the Alexandria people that ended in Rick executing that guy was at the end of last season, which was only 3 episodes ago and in the timeline of the show, only a couple of days.

I don't think Glen is dead, he would have been screaming in pain if they were eating his guts instead he just looked exasperated.. like how you might feel if this guy you spent all this time trying to save just committed suicide and was getting eaten right on top of you.

I think that he will just pass out, the zombies will get their fill and be drawn away by something else (maybe Rick in the RV) and then Glen will wake up and make a dramatic return to the group.

One thing is for sure though once they get all of this sorted out and are back together there is going to be a war, and while Ricks group may be out numbered even after all these casualties to the Wolves, they are definitely better equipped.

I also wonder if that information of what happened in the RV gets back to Morgan... you were the reason Rick was almost killed.

On one hand I hope Glenn is alive. On the other hand, him making it out of that situation is a little too unbelievable even for a zombie show. That herd would rip apart anything and everything it came across, and even if those aren't Glenn's guts we saw being flung around like party streamers, he was screaming his head off the whole time which would undoubtedly just excite the zombies more. I'm sure that it's all just misdirection and that Glenn will show up in a couple episodes alive and well, but even though I like his character that will kind of piss me off because it's just too improbable.

I'm interested to see what happens to Rick in the RV. You know they're not going to kill him off, but given his current predicament there are definitely some hairy times ahead.

Or Glenn will stab a bunch of zombies on top of him, dousing himself in zombie blood and zombie bodies, thus making himself "invisible" to the horde. Then he can simply wait it out under the loving arms of Nicholas' corpse until the horde moves on.

I think this is the scenario. Glen will survive as above, head back and run into Rick and the RV. He will rescue Rick and start up the RV and go to Alexandria. Once there he will go to the armoury to stock up on weapons and the lady, who Carol left inside with instructions to shoot anyone who opens the door, will drop him.

It is too far of a stretch for him to get out of this.

The beauty of this show is, as long as Rick and the little Grimes are alive the story can continue. New characters and drift in and out of the show.

I've re-re-re-rewatched the scene, purely out of denial, and I have reluctantly succumbed to the fact that Glenn is dead.

Even though there is a clear continuity error in between how Glenn and Nicholas fell of the dumpster, (with Glenn leading with his left shoulder while holding Nicholas,) and how Glenn fell (on his back with no Nicholas anywhere,) you can pretty clearly tell that it's Glenn that is being eaten. They're both wearing similar colored shirts, but there is no body on top of Glenn when it cuts to the scene of him laying on the ground.

It's all over YouTube. Please someone tell me I'm wrong.

Came to post exactly the same thing. Dood is gone. Glenn is wearing a grey shirt, other guy was off green. You see only grey in the scene of him being ripped apart.

On top of that, lots of pumping blood which I don't think would happen with someone whom just blew their brains out.

The other guy has an olive outer shirt with a grey undershirt underneath. Glenn has a similar outfit on.

Your heart could easily continue beating for a short period, despite having a bullet to the head. In fact, many people survive shooting themselves in the head.

If you're going by that kind of medical evidence, you could just as easily argue that Glenn wouldn't be able to scream after having organs ripped from his chest or having his blood pressure drop.

It's inconclusive either way at this point.

I could see them coping out, with the no bullets theory and it all being a fantasy.

The biggest clue that it's not Glenn who is being ripped apart is the fact that they're clawing at his chest and start pulling out intestines.

I thought it was the machete sticking out of the walkers head, it looked like he sliced it on that.

Rick's hand will be find in a couple episodes, the actor must hate wearing those bandages for essentially 3/4 seasons now.

Whether Glenn is dead or not, it has just been a fantastic season so far. When was the last time they had three successive episodes being great? Season 1 maybe?

Glenn isn't screaming in pain, he is crying, he is screaming out of frustration. There is no way that is him being torn open the guys body clearly falls on top of Glenn. After re watching it I am even more convinced.

I can't see a downside of crying and screaming out of frustration when surrounded by a zombie horde. He'll be fine.

I totally agree he should be dead, but he won't be, one thing I can agree with is that this show is not well done.

It just happens to be based on a genre I really enjoy.
