Hopefully the Red Wings are in an angry mood and take it out on the Canucks.

Dont think the Leafs are the team to end the streak. 1-0 already. Powerplay goal on what looked like a dive.

3-0 Wild against the Ducks. Anaheim has registered only 9 SOG through two periods.

Boy, if you thought the Flames have looked bad to start the year, you need to watch Anaheim play.

Down 3-0 now with the last goal given up short handed against the Wild.

9 shot for the Ducks through 40 minutes of play. Still don't think they're in trouble but they don't seem like themselves at all.

It would be great for us and the whole Pacific division if they fired Boudreau and went with Carlyle again

Bob Murray has stated that he willing to give the team until the end of their current road trip to figure things out. Their next three opponents include Chicago, Dallas, and St. Louis. Could spell the end for Bruce Boudreau.

And the Ducks get shut out. Backs against the wall and Anaheim gets 6 shots in the 3rd for final count of 15.

This is mind blasting.

Anaheim has been shut out 4 of their 7 games. More than half their games!! Try to wrap you head around that when they have guys like Getzlaf, Perry and Kesler up front.

Yikes, we Flames fans thought the Flames were in trouble early. The Ducks are a five alarm fire right now.

is it really that shocking that a team who play Kevin Bieksa as their number 1 d man isn't very good?

Stempniak is also tearing it up. He has 1 assist tonight for a total of 7 points in 8 games. Not surprisingly, he's also been great in 3-on-3 OT, with 1 goal and 1 assist in 2 wins

Also, Schlemko scored tonight. Former Flames carrying the Devils!

Well, their GA / P is sitting at middle of the pack, so I don't think that's their biggest concern right now.

Last in G / P is the issue right now and while the defencemen play a role, the blame falls mostly on the forwards and Getzlaf, Perry and Kesler as it should.

It's funny because you defended Bieksa quickly and often when he was a Canuck but very quick to come here now and tell us how much you think he sucks.

I still think Bieksa sucks, but he's not the problem in Anaheim.

I dont think he sucks, the key part is the Number 1 part

he struggled as the 4th d man in Vancouver last year, so he's going to the stanley cup favorite and moving up 3 spots and it's supposed to work out?

Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf, Ryan Kesler, Carl Hagelin, Jakob Silfverberg and Andrew Cogliano all have zero goals after seven games. THAT'S the problem. I agree Bieksa is terrible, but he's far from being their biggest problem right now.

Looks like Michael Raffl kinda collapsed on the bench after taking an elbow to the face and he had to be helped off the bench. Concussion there for sure, and probably not a mild one.

Beauchemin was a big loss for them as he was their real leader last year for sure and thinking Bieksa could replace him was definitely the wrong plan.

People don't seem to mention the Ducks were leading the league in third period comebacks and also were on the right end of so many one goal games last year. No one ever talked about them regressing though

I'm oddly fixated on Mike Johnston in Pittsburgh. That guy has to be on a short leash.

absolutely. With all their stars up front, reading those numbers from a Pens blog is a bit unreal:

Quote:
In the Penguins’ past 27 games, dating back to last season and including Stanley Cup playoffs, they are 8-19. They’ve averaged 1.63 goals per game. They’ve scored more than three goals in one — count ’em, one! — of those 27 games. They’ve been held to one or zero goals in 14 of those 27 games. The power play has converted at 12.5 percent. Their shooting percentage is 4.9 percent.
