LF: Lots of Used Tennis Balls

I am looking for some used tennis balls to put on the chair legs of the chairs in my classroom.

I want to ask why you have them, or where you got them from, but I dont want to be considered an accessory so maybe I'll just leave that one alone...

Let me go to my garage this evening and I'll take a look at what the stash is.

Locke I obviously go around to local tennis courts and steal balls from kids to ensure that they have absolutely no fun!

I would crack a new pack every other time we would play and would keep all of the extras for serving practice or to give to kids who lose their ball or don't have any. Also you never know when you need to create an american gladiators type competition and need tennis balls!

i saw a bunch of balls at either the good will by chinook, or ( iactually think it was this one) the thrift store down the road. they where 50c each. you could always tell them what they are for and see if they give you a discount

My daughter wears hearing aids and is in public school here in Calgary. The school board helped to create the best learning environment for her.... which included putting tennis balls on the chairs and tables in her classroom to minimize the noise and clatter. (She is grade 2, and this was done in her grade 1 class as well)

Perhaps approach your school board directly?

It's amazing the difference putting tennis balls on chair legs make! I only need 40 more to have the chairs covered.

Unless I have a student who has an accommodation like that written into their individualized programming, I'm on my own. I do have a classroom budget I could use, but I feel buying new tennis balls for the purpose of cutting them up wouldn't be the most economical way to go about things, I may send an email out to a few of the Tennis clubs around the city.

you may wish to call the tennis schools or clubs in Calgary. they probably go through a ton and may give you a good price for the cause.
