Didn't like the timing more than where it landed. Period was done. I just pray that they kill the penalty

Again a low emotion, low urgency game. Lots of dump and 'sweep down to the top of the circle' or change. You can't play a transition game if you're not forcing turnovers. I'm getting really disgusted with this lackadaisical play.

It's not low emotion. Hudler was even fight ffs. They have zero confidence. It's not effort, it's not urgency.

This team isn't even looking for a pass half the time because they're panicking

I can live with a dumb penalty if Colborne is offering something of note.

He offers nothing of note whatsoever other than "potential" and he's not a prospect. We'd be better off with Curtis Glencross in his place, I hate to say it.

That's fair.

I'd just rather they play with a physical edge and intensity the entire 60 minutes and deal with killing a few more penalties. It might not result in a win, but it might pull them out of this funk.

Time for some running around chasing the puck action in the legendary second period then I guess.

Can't argue with that. I'd be happy with a close loss if the team at least showed emotion and heart for 60 minutes

Smid is looking good for someone coming back from a serious injury and such a long time away from game time. He could be exactly the presence Hamilton needs to relax and find his groove. 3rd pairing minutes makes sense for both at this stage as well.

We just have too many meh players throughout the line-up. Gaudreau-Monahan-Hudler are the only legit top 6 players right now.

Jooris, Raymond, Bollig, Backlund, Colborne, Stajan. Russell, Wideman(although is pretty good offensively) on D.
Meh meh meh meh meh meh and meh. We squeezed a lot out of those guys last year, so I don't think we're gonna see much better.

Here we go with the dreaded 2nd period. C'mon Flames, don't fold up the tent yet. You're still in this.

Ew...Eric Francis agreed with my thoughts on that Ferland play.

I feel so dirty...gotta go bathe myself in rubbing alcohol now.
