Finally caught up on the season this week. Every episode has been great. I think I loved the 'Canada' episode the best, but they've all been stellar.
I wouldn't say this has been my favorite season, or that any of these episodes would make my top 10, but it's been solid. Has any other show that has lasted this long been so consistent year to year?
Yeah this for sure has been one of the strongest seasons. Great to see that their use of current events has maintained their relevancy after all this time unlike another popular animated series *cough simpsons cough*

South Park is great at positively developing their characters. Guys like Butters and Randy Marsh, who started off as side characters, have become great. The Simpsons characters have all just become lazy parodies of themselves.
To be fair South Park's R rated content gives them a lot more leaway to be creative with storytelling and dialogue.
I was kinda disappointed with how they tackled that one. The actual problem with the "safe space" campus culture wasn't really addressed and they simultaneously totally missed the point on internet shaming culture, too...

So I will admit I was kind of confused by last nights episode, but apparently this 'art' that they draw is a real thing dating back to Craig vs. Tweek in 1999. And the images shown in the show were actually from an open call Parker and Stone put out.
I did enjoy the parts about the over compensating acceptance of the two boys and how Craig's Dad secretly wishes it wasn't his son. Those parts were good.
This article, while not safe for work, does a good job of explaining the background of the art and gives some insights into the episode that I didn't catch:

I think South Park did a great job on that episode. They traditionally don't take a current event and just rehash it in a comedic cartoon. They put their own twist on things to make it their own. They just get inspiration from events.
Poor Butters haha.
They need to do another episode akin to "The Breast Day Ever" where Wendy beats the bejesus out of Cartman. Such a satisfying episode to see him get tuned haha.
Are you kidding me bro? PC Principal is the man haha.
You know he's gonna die at the end of this season though in a horrifically awesome way, and Leslie will probably be standing over his mutilated body covered in blood
I love that he walks around with invisible phone books under his arms.

Well he did get the crap kicked out of him by PC Principle in the first episode.
Handling Police brutality and muslim ( or ninja in this case) extremism was very well timed for this episode especially after the student getting dragged from her desk in the States.
Interesting to see where they go with Barbrady and Leslie thing. Love PC Principal constantly attacking Leslie. Bringing in the Swat team was excellent.
Ya great episode, looks like they are building for some big season finale reveal... I kind of felt that was why they kept the continuity. We can also gauge time by Randy telling us how long its been since Whole Foods came up lol.
That was one of my favourites of the season just because of Cartman constantly trying to cover up his 'gay' comment and confusing everyone dressed up. "Dude it was totally Kyle you can't trust him" "I'm Kyle" "Oh hey I'm Butters hows it going." hah.
