It is pretty hilarious how lucky Escobar is getting. He is literally one of the worst hitters in baseball, but everything he touches squeeks through a hole.

Nice to see that double play right after. Jays have gotten painfully unlucky not to have more of those this series with the frequency of ground balls the Royals hit.

Too early. Difficult to work and watch at the same time.

I wouldn't exactly call this bluejays baseball, but leading in the 5th inning...I'll take it.

Estrada has faced the minimum on 64 pitches.

Pretty sad that after 22 years out of the playoffs I've barely been able to watch any of this series due to the garbage start times. People out west really got screwed over during these playoffs, it's a damn shame.

Agreed. I understand why, but given the Jays status as our "national' team, it's really disappointing.

Great start from Estrada, the bats need to hold up their end of the bargain now.

Do or die inning for the jays. top of the order on the third time around on Volquez. I like what Estrada has done through 18 hitters, but that can only go on so long. need some insurance.

Third time through the order you have to think the Jays have the advantage.

Just tuned in, has estrada been allowing long flys like what I just saw in the top of the 6th all day?

Those looked dangerous.

He's a contact pitcher - he's a great starter, but he isn't a pen guy. You need to have guys in the pen that can miss bats.

Agreed. I can't pay attention at work at all. Just checked the score for the first time today. A joke. FU MLB.

Volquez 72 pitches in, 2 on no out. If they don't make hay here they are in trouble.
