I think theyre getting too engaged. Three times I saw the puck go back to the point and sail by as the defencemen was not in position.

Outside of two putrid powerplays I think the Flames were quite good. They sagged a bit after the goal but responded well at the end of the period.

Key to the next period is to build momentum and not come out flat. If they can have a solid second I like their chances in the third.

I agree. That's what I mean by saying 'effectively'. I don't think it's lack of effort, just not great decision making right now.

Haha, he gets tons of flack (sometimes rightfully so) but he's a point per game so far.

Also anyone with US center ice.... Have the local flames broadcasts been shown sans any studio coverage for you too? For this game, STL and WPG I've gotten only game coverage. No pregame or intermissions
