Guy stole second, but kind of hopped up to get up and left the bag momentarily, while Goins had a tag on. So he is out, but it's a little cheap.

Well, Hendricks did his job. Through the 5th without any runs. I didn't think it would go that well, but it would have been nice to score a couple more runs to this point.

Definitely need another run or two before the Royals get into their bullpen. 5-2 going into the 7th is asking a lot against a bullpen that filthy.

Too bad Hawkins got the strike zone squeezed against 1st hitter Perez (3 pitches from Hawkins almost right down the middle called balls when they were strikes), but that is the case, even if he lost it on his own against the next 2 hitters.

WTF has gotten into this umpire right now? He's missed 4 called strikes (3 on Hawkins & 1 on Tepera) that were almost down the middle.

Seriously!! I cannot understand how Hawkins can get to two strikes so consistently and then produce the same results of garbage these playoffs.
Let this please be the last time I ever see Dickey and Hawkins on the mound for the Jays.

Pullpen depth has been an issue all year, decent stretches from our starters helped cover it since they were going long enough that we could rely on the key guys.
With Cecil out there is Osuna...and Sanchez? Lowe?
That is really it right now. With the starters faltering a bit in the post-season our bullpen just wasn't good enough.
I had faith they could turn it around against the Rangers in games 3/4 since we were the better team, and had the better starters coming up. But this KC lineup is good, and they have their top 3 pitchers coming up. Not sure we will be seeing a miracle comeback this time.
