They won't get it done, law enforcement will pull out all the stops to prevent it from happening. That's assuming the Libs will even try to make good on their promise.

I hope I'm wrong.

Yah, the historic comment is kind of saying something without saying anything. Every election is historic, regardless of result. It gets recorded in Canadian history.

And dogmatic Alberta, trained to reject any association with the name Trudeau, will likely now find itself locked out of the cabinet.

That will give some people something to bitch about.

I'm really surprised by how far behind Hehr is right now.

The Liberal party attitude toward Alberta has been one of disdain since day 1. A few flowery words from Trudeau was never going to change that. He needs to marry action to words before this province takes a serious look at he or the Liberals. That burden is entirely on him, not the electorate.

Don't think Hehr's out of it yet by a long shot. The beltline polling stations are going to have huge numbers and take a very long time to count.

For the Lefties:
Shout for joy, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Zephaniah 3:14

For the Righties:
And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;
Romans 5:3

And now I'm done.

This election also highlights the effects of running a positive vs. negative campaign.

I'm guessing a lot of the younger people cheering on a liberal win weren't around in the early 80's to witness what Trudeau's arsehole of a father did with the NEP.

Those should be his strongest polls of course, and I hope you're right.

How good is this? NDP provincially and liberal federally. Conservatives rule us no longer.
