Last season while sitting at a make-shift camp Morgan was confronted by two of them. They were going to take all of his supplies, and then he went all Donatello on them and left them unconscious in an abandoned car.
He also saved Darryl and some of the group when they were caught in one of the traps set by the Wolves.
I have no doubt the man waving a big stick has been talked about in Wolf circles.
EDIT: Wow, lots of people jumped on that at the same time.

also, I appreciate these first two episodes being all pedal to the metal, but they really can't do everything like that all the time, for obvious budget reasons...and also because that would get boring without any contrast. I highly doubt that the slower "talky" episodes really drive viewers away as much as people claim. if that were true, this show would have been cancelled halfway through the farm season.

I totally thought at the end Morgan was gonna bite the dust. I thought when we went into that house, he was gonna open the door to the artillery room and get blammed by the lady Carol saved earlier.
Didn't Morgan kill that wolf at the end though? Seems like when absolutely necessary he'd be willing to kill (dude just wouldn't back off), where as Rick and Carol are willing to kill for simply precautionary reasons.
But dat Carol doe. Holy smokes she's crazy. There's some blood lust in that woman. Killed the one black dude that Morgan already subdued without even blinking. That was kinda stupid too seeing as he seemed to be providing some intel just prior.
Edit: and the wolves having no guns was definitely by choice. As wolves, I would think they prefer hand-held weapons, as they are more visceral. Definitely their MO, seeing as they just kept hacking. And hacking. And hacking. Long after someone was dead.
Edit 2: There was a neat factoid on the Talking Dead regarding the episode. They filmed the massacre in real time. 49 mins long. Exactly the amount of time needed to cook Carol's casserole lol.

Great Episode.
The young chick is a Wolf, I agree that she was going to spill the beans of Carl had kept his mouth shut.

That was a good episode, just total chaos. I have a feeling that they don't use guns because they are working for someone bigger. He most likely holds the guns with a select few and leaves them with more primitive weapons to do his bidding. Refuse to do your job and gather people/supplies? Get shot.
At one point one of the wolves says that they don't have a choice.. and I am pretty sure one of them says to an Alexandrian that they do have a choice and is surprised.
This is the kind of conflict I have craved in this show since the Governor, but this time it will be against battle hardened people and not just civilians he is able to rally that promptly give up. Should make for a good season.

That bag looked like the bag the fella was carrying that brought in Rick et al.

I think you might be on the right track here.
The W on the forehead is a "branding"? It would make sense.

Didn't he drop the bag when he and Darryl got ambushed with all semis? When Morgan came and saved them?

Yes, they looked through the photos from Aaron's bag after they put all the walkers back in the trucks at the end of season 5.

Yes I think that part was him basically figuring out that he tipped them off to their settlement and even what it looks like inside. But maybe it turns out the girl was the inside track the whole time, or a combination of both?

That was definitely it with Aaron.
I'm beginning to wonder if there is more to the girl than it seems. She is definitely part of some bigger group / up to something. However, it might not be the wolves.

That whole episode showed how the girl got to Alexandria. She was innocent and stuck with her parents. JSS is her coping mechanism. You really thing she's connected to the Wolves? I think she was going to say that's how she can go on her little day trips. I highly doubt she has any connection to the wolves.

Her possible affiliation with the Wolves fits into the JSS theme. Do what you need to survive.

Karl cuts her off, before she can finish her sentence, she talks about Alexandria being too big to secure and makes reference to "we".
She also just happened to have a huge set of keys with her when she runs into Karl.
We also don't know how much time passed between shots during her intro.

She was the guest on the Talking Dead. She said she was out in the wilderness for 2-3 weeks. Just long enough to go into survival mode. Not that that sheds any light onto whether or not she's affiliated with the Wolves.

so then why did mopey teenager #3 (Rob?) refuse to hide out with Carl when he saw that she was already there? what does he know about her? and when Carl was taking Judith for a walk, which teens did he pass by and make eye contact with? I'm getting confused with all of these kids and what each of them is being emo about.

Ron.
But yeah, very strange. He's seen hugging and talking with Enid at the beginning. This is in a stage where he seems to have a "my dad is dead because of you, screw you all" attitude.
You'd think Ron would be more concerned with Karl, the son of the man who just executed his father, than Enid, unless he knew something was up with Enid.
Then again...it could just be some teenage love triangle.
