Nope. It's beyond pathetic.

I'm not enamoured with any of the campaigns but Harper has been the worst, and it's not even close. I'm out. I'm done. Hell has frozen over and I will vote for a Trudeau. Unless there's a libertarian candidate in my riding

Justin Trudeau appeals to voters in Conservative heartland

Quote:
"I've been coming out to Alberta for years with a message that this place is important to me, that this place matters deeply," he said to supporters in Edmonton.

"It's a message that I'm proud to deliver here with a big smile, as a Liberal, as a Trudeau, and as a Quebecer," he declared, underlining the significance of the party's decision to hold its final events in Alberta.

"You see, every part of this country matters. People in Quebec need to know that Alberta matters, that our country needs Alberta to succeed. But so, too, do Quebecers need to be reminded that our country needs them to engage too."

I agree with this 100%, I don't respect Harper any longer, how can I vote for his party again this year. I am not happy and satisfied with any of the candidates.

I think I'll be happy with a Liberal government this time around and I have never voted liberal once in my life time.

Harper is done and you can tell he knows it by his desperate moves over the last few weeks.

Defend what?

I have no problem with him aligning with the Fords if that is your issue or did I miss something in the article?

Yes, that is my issue.

And really? You have no problem with the leader of your preferred party cavorting with Rob Ford, a crack-smoking misogynist who became an international embarrassment for Canada? Is there conceivably anything Harper could do that would make you not vote for the Conservatives, or are you one of these people:

@KatieSimpsonCTV
Just interviewed Harper supporter who says "I don't care if a politician has sex with a sheep" he'd vote for them as long as taxes are low

Yeah I agree, people need to realize the Fords are basically the best thing to happen to Canada. Every politician to strive to be like Ford.

Nope, you nailed it. A lot of us conservative party members are disgusted with this move of Harper.

This whole election was embarrassing for our party.

I thought he was for term limits (i can't find a quote so maybe not), and he doesn't step down.

As a PM, his leadership during his minority party governance was some of the best our nation has seen.

Rob Ford makes me laugh (and from many reports was a decent politician in terms of what he got done) so yes I have no problem with them "cavorting" with the Fords. I also see Justin Trudeau as a much bigger embarrassment to Canada if he were elected PM than Ford.

Outside of changing their policies right now I don't see a ton they could do to change my opinion. It certainly has a lot more to do with their policies overall than just a "low taxes=good" but getting support from the Fords is a way down the list of things that matter to me in this election especially considering how awful the other options are.

I don't see the Liberals or NDP as options for my vote. The Greens and CHP are a joke so I guess if Harper and other Conservatives went on a murder rampage maybe I wouldn't vote at all but yes I think it would take so sort of ridiculous situation like that for me to change my vote at this point.

Trudeau as PM of Canada is a direct representative of Canada and has an impact on my life, if not day to day at least week to week. He has shown himself to be a complete idiot time after time, with no qualifications for the position and a complete lack of understanding of the issues. I would be embarrassed to have this buffoon representing me and my country.

Ford is a fool from Toronto that did some silly and some criminal things that has zero impact on my life and doesn't represent Canada.

Why would I be more embarrassed by Ford than Trudeau? He doesn't represent me or my country, he doesn't impact me at all either. He also doesn't take himself serious or try to come off as some quality guy or anything that he isn't.

You don't think it is a little hypocritical and cynical, given Harper's tough on crime and drugs agenda, that he is using the Fords to squeeze a few more votes? Given both of their admissions to using drugs, and Rob's continuous drunk driving doesn't it show poor taste, and judge of character on Harper's part?

I was told by a very proud and successful man once, that you should surround yourself with those of good character, and you can get a good idea of the type of person someone is by those he chooses to surround himself with. So this seams particularly telling to me.
