I need to break for a bit for bedtime. Pushed it back a bit so it should go quickly

This is ridiculous. I didn't go home right after work so I could do this. Am I supposed to wait? Am I supposed to go home? Am I supposed to eat? Should I just cancel all my plans tonight? This should have taken 30 minutes, and is already at 80 minutes.

Good game Rathji. Sorry for my outburst earlier. I shouldn't type when I'm hangry.

squiggs96's number was 7124
This concludes Round 1 of CP The Genius. Rathji has been eliminated and will return his Gaudreaus. Thank you very much for playing, I really appreciate it.
squiggs96 gains a Gaudreau and now has 2.
To all the remaining players, see you in Round 2!
This thread is now open to everyone again.

Wasted 2 questions early on, and tried to make up for it by catching a break on a lower chance split falling my way, and it never did.
Clearly I spent too much time trying to figure out how to word my "What individual 6 digits are not in your password" question before Girly squashed it right as we started, rather than coming up with a better plan.
Edit: and apparently I screwed up somewhere else along the line, as I had eliminated 2 as an option from the 3rd digit.

Squiggs hit gold on the is there a zero question but his get the relative size of each number strategy was well played.
The question I really liked was the sum of the numbers is greater or less than x but that turned out to be a wasted question.

I agree, was vastly superior to my divide and and conquer plan. I realized it about half way through, but was unable to figure out how to incorporate it into my results.

The question I asked that I really didn't like was asking if there was a 9. That was dumb, and a waste. I should have gone straight to the next question of asking if the largest was even. I got a little cocky there by flushing out the 0.
I thought extra trying to figure out a question that would get me to decide between 1, 3, & 5 as the 2nd digit, but couldn't think up one. I wanted to ask a question that would guarantee I'd know, but couldn't get there, so I guessed at 3. I didn't think he was close enough that he could have gotten my number before I went through all three choices. I think he only had my 2nd digit, knew the 4th digit was 2 or 4, the 1st was 5, 7, 9 and the 3rd was 2, 4, 6, 8.
The sum question gave me a starting point. The sum of digits 0-9 is 45. I play a lot of KenKen puzzles, mostly on 9*9 boards, and 20 is a good spot to figure out where numbers go there if you are playing the game only with addition. If his total was over 20, it would have helped me out a lot.
Who won an extra Gaudreau from the betting?
