This is the type of injury that would have left a gaping hole a few years ago. I love Bouma as much as the next guy but I feel pretty confident that we can replace him relatively easily. Jooris draws back in and we call up Granlund or Hathaway from Stockton.

Yeah great observation. So much depth, there's really no concern about replacing Bouma. I think Jooris draws in as he should.
I think Bouma was struggling to get into a groove this year. Wasn't playing horribly, but just not what he was last year quite yet. THis injury is a real setback though.

Agreed, he seemed lost out there at times. But last time he was injured it was for a full year and came back knowing exactly how he had to play, having himself a hell of a season. Hopefully this injury will be shorter and he'll come back more determined and mentally ready.
I don't recall the specific game but Bouma looked like he hurt himself in the preseason falling over a pile of players right in front of the bench. Never really shook that off. I figure he was playing hurt and then really did a number on himself last night. Just not a good year for him thus far.

To be fair, Bouma looks injured every time he comes off the ice. Nobody is visibly in more pain then Bouma on that bench. It could of been one nasty shot block or just an accumulation of little bumps and bruises.

Ouch. Start the adversity, I guess. Short term, I imagine Jooris is back in. Medium term, I think we'll need another 1 or 2 forward up at least until Colborne is healthy.
Oh man. Feel bad for the guy. At least he'll be back in time to get back to 100% and help with a playoff push. Opens the door for Jooris for now and possibly Granlund.
i'm obviously not thrilled about this, but that aside how tough exactly is lance bouma? he tried to ride this thing out on the bench for god's sake! pretty sure i would be in "most pain in my life" mode if that was me.
