Not loving the way we're playing but calling up Grandlund is going to solve nothing.

Now Bouma is an anchor? When did this happen?

Lots of silly comments in this thread all of a sudden. I might have to take a break from it for a bit.

You do know forwards are responsible to play defence right? Or did you think by defensively I meant our defencemen?

Don't think Bouma is an "anchor" playing with Backlund, but kinda hate Bollig on that line. Have to wonder if Bollig sits the majority of games when Colborne comes back (provided Raymond continues his second wind)

Johnny always seems to make things happen. Be nice to get the bottom two lines firing on all cylinders to help out.

Why was the face off outside the zone? Gaudreau directed it towards the net.

Didn't come across that way, especially when the last goal had more to do with defensemen than forwards.
Besides, Granlund isn't an upgrade defensively over anyone not named Raymond or Bollig. Bill Arnold might be an improvement if defense is what you're after.

There was a ton of blocked shots by the Blues, Flames were about equal in attempts. Especially on the Flames PPs. Where they looked dangerous.
Blues have turned this into a grind game, which they will win.
Flames need to turn it back into a track meet. They will draw lots of penalties and have more skill.

Interesting thought. Nothing offensively yet, not even his great self defensively. Although, much like the Backlund discussion going on at the moment, I think Bollig may be to blame.
