why dont we just do commentary on the draft thread, although maybe scrolling through all the commentary just to see the picks could be annoying.
You didnt see Kovalchuk coming?

I figure if people see that the most recent post is the person before them, they'll make their pick. Otherwise, say, if I were to post now, Mango might think she still needs to wait for you and transplant99.

Not fifth. I expected two more players to go ahead of him.

I agree with keeping the comments here and just picks in the other thread. Definitely keep things cleaner and easy for the actual drafting.

I don't think so either. There's probably 5 guys I could have taken at #1.......Crosby, Ovechkin, Thornton, Jagr and Spezza. I think it's going to be a great race this year for the Art Ross.

I was debating heavily between Heatley, Spezza, Alfredsson and Kovelchuk
I decided that Kovelchuk pretty much makes a line a good one. (Not that the others dont) Three good years also counts for something. (Not that the others havnt been consistent in that aspect aswell)
He was eigth in points last year.

I can see Kovalchuk suffering a bit because of losing Savard. But hey, if we all saw everything the same way, then pools would suck.

I thought about making that correction, but I wanted to avoid the chance of anyone assuming that it's for myself.

Im starting to get the feeling that with my positioning in the pool I'm going to have to be fairly risky to win it..
which of course could be disastrous..

Not really... the snake draft will even things out quite a bit no matter where you're picking (although not completely, as there is more difference between #1 and #10 than there is between #30 and #40). There are still some really high end picks out there for you as well, IMHO. Of course, it's your team, so your strategy.

If you and I are thinking the same thing then that's rather unfortunate for me. Of course, I'm not going to tell you what I'm thinking.

Lidstrom is a great pick... and I damn near took him. Shoot I was hoping some of you would be sleeping through this thing!

I was hoping he'd slip to 37th... didn't expect him to be around at 37th, but I didn't expect him to go quite this early either. Ah well, that's what I get for getting ahead of myself.

haha 37th! that's extreme. But I know what you mean.. hoping for some odd reason he falls under the radar. So far to me most of the picks have been very sensible... but it is the first round and that usually happens.
The fact that we have to take 4? D-men.... makes them fairly important..
